YARN UNBOXING ~ HOBBII HALLOWEEN YARN

I just placed an order at Hobbii a few days ago, and I totally grabbed a cake of "Ghouls" 👻 because, as an OG Ghoul, I kinda had too lol Those cakes really sing when used alone for a shawl/scarf/etc. I've made virus and lost soul shawls from their cakes, and they're gorgeous.

Very cute!! Love these yarns!! I think they would look great as a long sleeve, fingerless glove long sleeve. I love that it works up on the knitting machine. Do you have the pattern or a video on how to make those fingerless gloves on the knitting machine with the thumb openings. Thanks. 🖤🖤💚🖤💜💙🖤

Love your nail polish!! i love the twister. since its cot/acr it would be versatile as a mini halter-type dress that you could layer it over tops and leggings all the year thru. maybe an open lacey stitch - pineapple (skull version) to keep it open and drapey.

thank you for showing these yarns - I was thinking about buying some of the Universe xl, to make a galaxy theme blanket, but when converting to Australian dollars, would be approx. $13-15 per cake... which is quite expensive - and seeing just how small the cakes actually are - it would not be worth it.

I'm making a witchy bucket bag with universe xl dark matter and zombie planet is going to be a virus shawl/cowl. Horror halo is another bag but for my mumma who loves purple. I got 2 of each cake, i have made a virus shawl with that yarn but in one of their original line called super cluster. It looks amazing and super airy for spring

I would say you can let the fine ones have their own moment or you can pair them with a neutral solid or neutral gradient. I've seen these kind of yarns pop like that. I'm working on a tunesian wave pattern using two different scheepjes whirls where I'm working the gradient colors to compliment eacother. I'm sure if you went through and figured out how the cakes could pair up colors worked either inside out or outside in you might find a combo that would compliment well to alternate colors with

Hobbii sells twister solid in a wide range of colors. There are neutrals and colors that perfectly match many of the ones in their cakes

L🖤VE how the mittens turned out! I can't figure out how you made them. What you filmed was a test on the big addi? Would you mind sharing a quick tutorial, pleeeeease? Are they doubled up flat panels on the big addi and then sewn up leaving the thumb space open? Or did you make them circular on the small Addi... but then the thumb hole...? So many questions, sorry, just starting out! 🙈😂

So glad to see what the universe yarn looks like. I've got a few cakes of the XL and tons of the thinner yarn but don't know what to do with it. I thought of making scarfs for children but I'm afraid the metallic thread is a bit scratchy.

It is not the softest yarn ever but I wouldn’t say itchy. The metallic strand does stick out a bit but I’m living for the colors 😂

I just finished making a cocoon shrug thing out of the yarn you made the fingerless gloves out of but I think I made it too big. I never have any luck trying to make those cocoon sweaters lol. I might frog it and try to make just a regular cardigan which would be my first of those lol. It's such a cool color- I do wish it was a bit softer though! I also have some of those halloween cottons blends but the smaller size ones you had gotten before. Not sure what to make out of them. Hoping to get some ideas from the comments here lol!! i've made a mesh dress with cakes like twister before, you could probably make some great halloween tops and stuff with them. or maybe a jacket? morale fiber has a beautiful mandala duster and elf coat that would both look gorgeous with these cakes. so.... fingerless gloves on the addi tutorial when? >.>
