@HELMUT ALTO there is no denial nasty things happens in war. There are criminals and sinners amongs all of us. However the message of solidarity should not be overshadowed by the sins of others. The work that these medics did should not be forgotten. The actions, and respect (which no longer exist in todays socaiety) of the soldiers from both sides did. Should never be forgotten. At any moment. These medics could have been killed. But they chose not to. Let us at least be able to honor that.

I love how the church still stands today. A place once a sanctuary of refuge from chaos in carnage now surrounded by peaceful land once more. The blood of the wounded now nothing but stains in the relics. A building that now sits quiet and empty only to be visited by future generations. Jordyn Collier this church stood the testament of time, stood strong against even the weapons of man, which had once constructed it. These two understood the value of lives. They may be the enemy, but what makes you any different from them? You're both wearing uniforms, being told what to do, and fighting desperately for something you want to protect. But by the end of the day, no matter which side you're on, you all have families, parents, and loved ones waiting for you to return. These two understood that very well and knew the pain of knowing what it's like if the person you care about doesn't come back. We're all human afterall. War is not as fun as what you experience in games. It's literal hell for both sides.

You can create a soldier so strong that he can fight an army by himself, but who takes care of this venerable soldier when he inevitably gets injured enough he cannot fight, the Medics are the strongest not in strength or physical stature, but by their sheer willpower and the determination to save whoever and whatever they can, even going as far as to literally carry a wounded soldier back themselves. That is true humanity, able to see past the uniform and see that though they may be of a different ideology and race, they're the same as you, just people fighting for what they believe in

Ignore these guys, they need to get over themselves. Hacksaw was done because while about a medic (who was *deeply religous* you two), said medic was in a lot of action. This story doesn't have enough action to be a movie, but an HBO mini-series might be suited, especially as while there's little action going on there's plenty of time passing, so making a show of it would do the story more justice.

I like hearing such stories. There's so many horrendous things that humans do to their fellow human being, it makes me doubt about humanity. But stories like these are candles in the dark.

@@Nimori not cool dude, im an atheist and frankly hate the catholic church and everything it stands (that being lies and false truths and hope) for but I would never shoot at a religious building of any religion unless i had ample evidence that it was being used by the enemy to attack my brothers in arms.

Unknown I’m not saying you shot at it though? I’m saying the guy was athiest. And surprisingly, he had the same reason as you actually. He hated the catholic church on a stereotype of it being like a cult. He wasn’t aiming at people, but the church itself. Its been 16 years since I last heard of the court martial papers. Normally they are confidential to the public. It actually took place in a tent in France Normandy. Not a fancy court house like you would think. my memory has been fading, and I can’t remember much of everything. I forgot his name, sadly. Anyways, you shouldn’t feel offended. Just because he was athiest too, doesn’t mean you should lump yourself with the other bad athiests.

Wow! I was astounded by the story of these two brave medics who treated their comrades as well as their foes. Which just goes to show no matter who we are, friends or foe, we are all same at the end of the day. Once again, great video! The animation is now mixed with CGI, I reckon? And the cat at the end of the video is so adorable.
