Bless Rabbi for telling it how it is, for having awe and fear of Hashem and not of men proud of where you came from Rabbi and where you are at now, you are an inspiration because of The Torah you teach! the beginning of wisdom is fear/awe of Hashem, let us never forget B H!

Thank you Rabbi for teaching me to not curse and I will work on that! Also, I used to buy lottery tickets cause I was homeless and was very desperate and depressed. I’m so glad I heard a previous shuir and stopped! I am so glad to learn oral Torah from you and I’m learning written as well to better honor HaShem!

Even the light of nature and reason easily convinces a 7 year old child that every act of Gambling is an act of STEALING! For if a multitude of persons gamble together as competitors and one person wins, he is going to take the money which has been betted by the other players. Let it be granted that all the players agreed to the rules of the game, and that according to the rules of that game, the winner hopefully won fair and square (which indeed is the best possible thing that could happen). Yet that doesn't change the fact that every other player individually "only agreed to the rules because he believed he was going to win. No one agrees to those rules assuming they're going to lose. No one goes into the casino saying 'I can't wait to lose all my money.' " Oh but on the contrary, everybody hopes he will individually come out victorious. Nobody gambles for the purpose of ending up VANQUISHED, but for the purpose of ending up CONQUEROR! Again, each and every other individual player "only agreed to the rules because he assumed he's going to win, which means that once he lost, he doesn't really want to give you the money, so the fact that you're taking it from him because there are rules to the game" is _de facto_ "insignificant to him", as well as _de jure_ theonomically and theologically insignificant! Each individual loser "still doesn't want to give it to" the winner! "It doesn't make him any more uh you know inclined to give you the money because there are rules. He's giving it to you against his will". But every act of confiscating the money from him against his wishes is an act of STEALING. Therefore, every act of WINNING at gambling, with intent to keep the proceeds of the victory, is an act of STEALING: therefore even in the best-case scenario, every act of gambling is an act either of putting yourself at risk of COMMITTING a theft or causing others to be at risk of committing theft: the FORMER of which is injurious to your own personal morality as well as contrary to divine law, and the LATTER of which is, in Hebrew called, MACHTI ET HARABIM - causing others to sin. The worst thing that could happen is that the person who won only won because he CHEATED. That too, is also an act of THEFT! Therefore, every act of GAMBLING is, objectively, intrinsically, and in its own abstract, impersonal nature, an act of THEFT, and therefore absolutely FORBIDDEN in the Written Torah. QED
