These vids have really helped with my approach to these missions, needing the guides less and less and incresingly to fix issues in ordering actions rather than the broad strategy or good comps. They should stop advertising these events to new players. The amount of character unlocks and grinds you need to even compete in these events is ridiculous. I had 2 guild members quit the game during the Titus event because it became obvious they couldnt do it without spending money. Just charge a flat rate to play and sell cosmetics for money. Stop advertising these players like its an achievable thing for new players.

Haha. I’ve just found this amazing game about a month ago and some how I’m almost $150 in 😢 I’m forcing myself to stop and only buy the battle passes but just to compete and finish the dang Titus pass which I’m now 1 challenge away from doing has cost me more than any mobile game I’ve ever played. I’m pretty grossed out but to even play most game modes and have fun or to compete in events or guild raids it takes so much! I could not imagine just grinding F2P with this game.

As a new player about 3 weeks in they all feel basically impossible, I got titus just about from the battle pass a day ago, but the rest have been basically impossible you just reach a wall. It’s a shame cuz otherwise it’s a really fun little TBS game

I'm a new player who started a month ago. I have already realised that these character quests are impossible to get anything from unless I pay for it. Which I won't do. I would rather pay for a full game with the occasional skin purchases tbh. This is highly demotivating.

grrr- it is impossible to complete rare 5 without a character you can't farm or even buy- Isabella. That smacks of poor level design.

Common 3 I was able to do with certus, thad, and invicta as the only seemingly required units. Same as you do, but I moved everyone that wasn't certus into the top right corner where they were out of range of everyone. Certus overwatched the killakan, then killed the left tank while thad killed the right. The other three mopped up the remaining orks, with invicta's aoe popping any bunched orks…

How did you manage to overwatch Snappa with only Certus and Thaddeus on your team? I’ve trued many times, but the closest I came without also including Azrael was to get Snappa down to 1 hp

@@jordinagel1184 This quest and mission is complete and utter bullshit more than most of the token traps we've gotten from recent quests. Certus is not guaranteed to kill Snappa with overwatch even WITH a buff from Thad.

…ok, wow. So I tested it 3 times before posting this, always killed. After reading this, tested it again and it killed *but* I noticed certus crit. So I ran it again until he didn't crit and yup. He doesn't quite kill… Sorry about the miss-info, I didn't even think to check for the crit after multiple trials…

Yep. Just tried the Common 3 strategy five times, exactly as described here, with maxed-out characters. The tank on the left survived 2/5 times. Snappa survived 5/5 times.

I think there is an argument for you to sit on the formation before you begin each encounter, just so that as we play along, we have time to select the right characters and positions. Even trying to pause your videos at the start of each encounter becomes a little chore, so just a couple of seconds grace would be good.

For Rare 4, if you don't have silver Sarq, I used Vindicta instead to clear the bottom right enemies. If you can take out at least 1 Grot tank, Thaddeus can take the other and hopefully the flames will block the grots from advancing. Yarrick summons and Certus take out the other side, and then you can clean up on turn 3.

All these events are very unfriendly for new players. I am into my 5th month playing an my max heroes are at Bronze III (soon I will push to Silver I some but they will be just a few exceptions, which are still not enough for such events). Not to mention I don't have many of the recommended heroes anyway. Most of the events are basically for people who play the game for years now or for whales (and there is no middle ground - you either pay zero money or you pay like crazy because even the small packs with at least some mediocre gains costs like a full price AAA game). Anyway not really a big problem - I keep enjoying the game and the progression. Main reason being that I'm a big 40k fan. There is fun, there is progression, I do campaigns, I do guild raids and wars, I open new heroes, upgrade them and so on. It's cool. And from time to time there is an event that works fine - for example the recent event for Lucien (Death Company Intercessor), where I've managed to unlock him and level him up to Rare (5 stars) just from the event.

Ive been playing just under a year and ive spent 0$, and have maybe a dozen or so Gold1 characters, 1 Gold 2, and 1 Diamond 1. You’ll get there. I wouldnt say these events are only for people who have been playing for YEARS or whales, as I have been playing for only 1 year and am doing pretty good!

Agree these events are often disappointing but generally epic is reachable. For sure you need to play for ages. I spent very little money just enough in my opinion to reward the game developers black stone day delivery and one season pass. I think spending just a bit help but no necessary. There is already a lot of fun playing normal content.

The thing I'd recommend is not to upgrade all your units similarly but try to get 1 team up to gold 1 first, your space marines would be good for that purpose and then try to unlock other maps so you can more easily upgrade the team you want to diamond 3. Just having 1 team mixed of dia3, like 1-2 xenos, 1-2 imperials or 1-2 chaos, even if the rest is subpar will allow you to do far more

Hey, thanks for the video, its great! However, I did notice that the tooltip doesn't match what you do onscreen for rare 2. In the video, you have Isabella go second, followed by Yarrick. The tooltip states that you need to do the opposite, and move Yarrick second, and Isabella third. You also describe it according to what you did onscreen, so it is obviously what you are supposed to do. I just wanted to let you know so you can fix it if you want. People with it muted, or not paying the best attention might miss it, and fail to get all the points. Thanks again for all your hard work, it is greatly appreciated!

Rare1, I think Thaddeus is at least equally valid if not better than Tan Gi'da, since more people have him levelled and he boosts vindicta.

So, how is Vindicta's quest going for everyone? I have her at bronze 1 and am struggling to perfect the rare 3 mission. I keep either missing the lightning by one turn or having a bit of chip damage on a character.

The guy that does these encounters is a jerk. Every goddamn time there is a Common that is just stupid RNG. I have all of the characters you feature at or above the Common cap and my results, despite doing exactly what you do on screen, don't match yours.

I mean am I fucking taking crazy pills? I have tried this repeatedly with the exact same comp and I fail again and again. The overwatch after turn 1 does not reliably kill both advancing targets and Sarqs active on turn 2 does not reliably kill the 2 units the video shows it killing and it's all downhill from there.

@@MidnightHozz Yes you are taking crazy pills if you think this guide is the only way to finish the event 100%. Look up NoxTempest for a little different suggestions. Double overwatch didnt work me either but a single overwatch just to kill Snappa worked.

The RNG +/- damage and critical chance have to all go in your favor. Had same troubles there and beyond.

It's designed such that you do the levels corresponding to your character's rarity. If you can't meet the requirements, just ignore them and clear the levels anyway, you will get upgrades

I got Titus thank God, but cannot unlock Vitruvius after spending $40 since I wasn’t playing at the time of the first two events. They really should have a price we can buy the character at. The grind is too slow and unrewarding

Rare 2 is too dependent on RNG. Same characters with same gear level, but the +/- damage RNG is a real fuckup that you can't finish on time. You need everything perfect down to RNG in your favor.

Ive done 8 tries on common 3 and my G1 35/35 Certus and D3 50/5 Sarq cannot one-shot Snappawrecka. Idk how you do it.

@@Nandi40k Based on the legendary gameplay, it looks like these videos were recorded without the rewOrk buffs. Boss's waaagh is the old version. Snappawrecka got his health and armor buffed with the rewOrk, so that might be the difference.
