Except it's just not true, and you're certainly not healthy if you feel that way, you're unhappy and bitter and ungrateful if you feel that way. Is America a sick society? Yea, in some ways, but it's also a better place to live than the majority of the world's countries. Don't let a spoilt celebrity talk you into cynicism.

The Israeli soldier that killed my aunt Huda Hawarjeh in Aida Bethlehem smiled on camera and said he was purifying the land. This interview was reported by the CBC but also is uploaded to my channel here on youtube. I hope that people interested in this conflict can research the 30 years of British occupation where Palestinian libraries and farms were destroyed before the 1947-1949 destruction of over 530 Palestinian villages.

I agree with that quote and I agree with Bey here. The thing is, nowadays, truth isn't as objective as it once was. The Internet has created a kind of stratification of common culture. If you're black and x you can join the club for black and x, black and y, etc etc. with the stratification of society into small bubbles we don't know how to communicate across bubbles leading to disenchantment of the system, which we all should have stake in fighting for and protecting. Idk the solution but I do know that this is a major problem leading to a growing culture of isolation and despair. Fight for your great grand kids. Fight for tomorrow always. Even if it means swallowing your pride. The meek shall inherit. Be not prideful

"Due to demise... my heart is still alive. It looks awful outside... but it's still worth a try." This whole clip made my body shiver. He's right in every sense. If you feel pain in your heart, that means it's still working. That means you're still a properly functioning human being. Trust in what your heart is telling you about our environment. Nothing in the universe ever happens by accident. Things are the way they are because of a series of events and ideals that people once thought were necessary. Then we continued to come up with better ideals that were necessary. This is our process. The decisions we are currently making about the world we INTEND to live in are happening at such a rapid pace due to the necessity of change. INTENTION. Understand and hone in on your intention. Don't react... but respond. Reaction doesn't require you to think. Responding requires you to think first... then do. If there are things that you are unaware about... then do nothing until you are aware. Doing nothing IS a response. But also, intending to seek understanding is the first call to action. A lot of people tend to have their minds made up before they find complete understanding in what they are reacting to. DO NOT REACT...... RESPOND!

@@montoya-400 oh… I know all about Jacque Fresco and the Venus Project my friend. I was put onto Zeitgeist at a fairly young age. Those were the documentaries that made me look deeper into our systems and the history of its functionality. Nothing in the entire universe happens by accident. We’re living through this Age of Enlightenment… and especially w/ the advancement of the internet, we are seeing how powerful connection and data/information really is. But it’s also up to us to really decide what we do with that. We can go through these mundane cycles and make a million assumptions about who runs the world and watch TikTok and Instagram videos all day without ever truly knowing what is real… or we can simply share the information as we know it but also remain open to understanding that we might also be wrong. History tells us a lot. But we have to be careful about what we intend to do with that information.
@DrewGems
@DrewGems 7 ай бұрын
@@gordoncooper7019 that’s the thing… people simply don’t realize their power. They’re stuck in the zeitgeist and regular routines of the world… they never give themselves a chance to ever really sit down and understand the ways that they actually have power. We may not have power over the function of the system… but we have the power to inform ourselves on how and why it works the way it does… and how we plan to go about with that information.

Humanity 😂😂😂 when in history, has there ever been such a thing as humanity, especially in the Christian and Arab world when they are still practicing slavery.. Maybe this will happen but not in this world because it's run by devils. Now, in God's Kingdom on earth, people will be put in their rightful place, and there won't be any wars and slavers will become slaves themselves according to the Bible. It is so sad that people go to church but don't believe in the Bible, and the Bible clearly calls America Babylon The Great in Revelation 17:5, but chapter 18 describes the destruction of America and every prophecy in the Bible has come true so far and none will fail.

Please be aware that there are ways for us to support our brothers and sisters, for their freedom is our freedom. I happily support black creators where the product is worth the money. I’m sorry but she is charging a subscription fee almost in line with major streaming platforms (that provide access to thousands of films/TV) for a single podcast. Most people won’t even be interested in listening to all the interviews she has conducted to date. She could easily run this podcast on KZbin with advertisements and make bank without asking people to pay Disney+ and Netflix prices for one podcast.
@tritownsound
@tritownsound 7 ай бұрын
@@SB-sg4em I see where you're coming from, but I think you can flip your perspective. Why do we collectively devalue meaningful content to the point that a creator has to turn to corporate advertising revenue to have any hope of earning enough money to live? I'm guilty of this too, so I'm not only pointing the finger. $6/month for content you believe in really isn't outrageous.
@SB-sg4em
@SB-sg4em 7 ай бұрын
@@tritownsound My point is her content is not worth $6 a month. Her output is very limited and this seems to be her first major interview. How many people are going to pay $6 a month for access to one podcast, that too a podcast that is just starting out? I cancelled my Prime membership because introducing advertisements and asking customers to pay extra to remove them defeats the purpose of a streaming platform and is no longer value for money. I don't care if you're a large corporation or an independent content creator, if the content being provided is not worth the asking price I am not going to give you my hard earned money. As for why should creators have to turn to corporate advertising for revenue. They don't have to do anything. However the reason they are creating paywalled content is to make money, and from a business perspective they will make more money if the content is freely available to the audience, and revenue comes from advertising/sponsorships. Then once you are established and have a solid audience you can start looking into expanding with paywalled content.

There was a glimpse of hope to end colonialism but we're back to business as usual with leisure and entertainment. Keep in mind that the intellectual tour de force at the time of independence didn't take place to rewrite everything, we just carried on the structures already in place to collect fiscal resources, bureaucratic and administrative fees to pay for those yachts, jets, villas and supercars. In regards to Palestine, all of the protests take place where freedom of expression is heavily guarded, anywhere else is a risk or timid.

"Every time anyone says that Israel is our only friend in the Middle East, I can't help but think that before Israel, we had no enemies in the Middle East." - John Sheehan Anthony Bourdain once said, "Today, nearly everything is made in China, except for courage. Courage is made in Palestine." Yet after every "expulsion" they scream, "Why do they hate us?!" THIS is why.

My brother is informed and appreciates it fact that he took the time to study history. If you don't know where you come from, you will never know where you going. And I thank you for mentioning Congo and Sudan.

You should've learned from shannon sharpe. Post the full thing an make the clips after the full one is out. You'd got more traction so people have issue stealing the clips out of 2hrs. Then make the clips yourself after. Most won't look beyond the drake thing because the interview is on patreon.

Yassin Bey AKA Mos Def is it damn national treasure.Yo we need to protect him at all costs. Personally I watch every interview he does and I think he's a modern-day Griot. And we need more men and women like this to be praised rather than say but hitler loving rapper who don't even care about his people anymore but rather his image or at least when he's on his meds that's if he is on meds

Thank God, thank God for the transforming power of faith. Nature forms us, sin deforms us, schools inform us, jail reforms us, the world conforms us, but Jesus transforms us. He changes people. He literally, actually, eternally changes people.

When we are born we enter a set of circumstances that existed before us. Nobody likes to hear that because you can’t physically hold the past accountable. So we take it out on our opposer. Who himself was born in the middle of the movie. The first casualty of history is truth. Do we know truth? Do we seek it? Isn’t it easier to disassociate yourself from corrective reality than to deal with the harshness of truth? Easier yes. Better? not so much. The only truth that matters is the truth that is actually true. All truth is confrontational! So if it doesn’t make you say ouch, maybe it’s not true.

@1:23 …Nonetheless, that’s a king but what’s a crown to the clouds. Kingdoms come and go…this idea of permanence via brute force is not historically supported…at every level they’re people who are in the active…hand to hand struggle…each one is called for what they’re called for but for people that are not called to actually having to fight in that way then support the advancement of humanity and the advancement of the cosmic situation that every human being is. To destroy it and to rob it of vitality or to try to steal its joy or even attempt to do it is a grave disorder…the reckoning is not only coming, it is here from ends the oppressor does not yet perceive and are the last ones to know and by the time they realize it it’s already too late. I know it’s heartbreaking. You should be heartbroken, that means your heart is working. You’re heartbroken and it’s distressing, that means that you are sane, you are a functioning individual. If you are uncomfortable and you are maladjusted to a sick society, that means you are healthy. I am mourning for all of us but also I didn’t get bombed today literally but figuratively we’re all getting carpet bombed, even the carpet bombers. So, that’s the facts. Nonetheless, who will remain, and I’m not just talking about in flesh and blood but in spirit. Who will remain? 20 and 50 years from now what will people say of the people of Gaza or Philistine that they are not saying today or that they say with baited breath what they are afraid to say or let alone what people say, what do the angels say? What does God say about what we do. I believe that God is not interested in our misery…this is a challenging time, sure, to say the least but I can’t embrace despair even though it sometimes feels very attractive and sensible to do so. Through the demise my heart is still alive. It looks awful outside but it’s still worth a try. #mosdef #yasiinbey

While acknowledging the inherent brutality and moral reprehensibility of colonialism, it is essential to contextualize such historical phenomena within the broader tapestry of human history. Throughout the annals of time, the practice of pillaging and exploiting communities for gain was not an anomaly but rather a pervasive aspect of human civilization. Judging past societies solely through the prism of contemporary ethical standards risks anachronism; by such metrics, virtually all historical societies could be deemed malevolent according to modern sensibilities. The intricate dynamics between what is now characterized as the Judeo-Christian West and the Muslim East can be traced back to pivotal historical events, starting notably with the Muslim conquest of the Iberian Peninsula in 711, culminating in the cessation of Granada in 1492. This epoch heralded a series of consequential conflicts, including the Crusades, the Ottoman-Habsburg Wars, and the pivotal Battle of Lepanto, among others. These events set the stage for the era of European Colonial Conquests, during which European powers reclaimed and expanded into territories previously under Muslim control, among other regions. This period of imperial expansion was not without strategic competition, exemplified by the "Great Game" - a geopolitical struggle between the British Empire and Tsarist Russia in Central Asia. This rivalry, marked by a southward Russian expansion, laid the groundwork for contemporary conflicts in the Middle East. It is critical to comprehend that British Imperialism, while undeniably brutal in its execution, was not a capricious endeavor but a manifestation of the geopolitical and economic imperatives of its time. The current tensions between the Western and Muslim worlds cannot be simplistically interpreted as unwarranted aggression from a contemporary viewpoint. Rather, they are the culmination of complex historical interactions, shaped by centuries of conflict, competition, and occasional cooperation. Understanding the nuances of these historical interactions provides a more comprehensive perspective on current geopolitical dynamics. It underscores the importance of a nuanced historical analysis that transcends simplistic moral judgments and acknowledges the multifaceted nature of international relations through the ages.

He is very aware and intelligent!!The thing is you need money and power to change things that are going on…If the masses would band together, it can be fought…but we all know everyone will not come together to do so. But everything “they” do will eventually be dealt with, maybe not all here at the earthly level but definitely by The Devine… The great thing is more and more people are becoming spiritually aware so we are definitely elevating the vibrations on Earth and making some change…much love to everyone 🫶🏽 ..and shoutout to @TYTSports KZbin channel for directing me to the original podcast
