What this video doesn't mention is that the Yasuni national park is home to indigenous people, and in those parts that have already been polluted by oil exploitation, the prevalence of cancer and deformations in newborn have increased tremendously. The idea that president Correa, unsatisfied with the money pledged so far, is actually moving to go through with developing this oil field is absurd, it's like shooting the hostage because you didn't get your ransom.
