congratulation.. i received instead one Next level racing motion platform combined with their Flight seat combo . it gives a nice added immersion for flightsims like DCS IL 2 or XP 12..

Yeah, they look nice and compact. Though the thing that made me go for the Yaw3 was the extremes on the angles it can do, particularly in the pitch axis. You really feel it when you're doing a loop!

I'm still clueless as to how everything is connected to the PC on a platform that can spin all the way around. Is every single thing running through a wireless converter or something?
@phunkaegАй бұрын
Correct! The USB device signals are all being sent wirelessly with VirtualHere

Hey noticed youre using old school MS FFB stick, does the FF work? how did u handle the "paralllel port" vs USB? (i have one sitting around) Also what are u using for voice cmds? THX
@phunkaeg2 ай бұрын
The Microsoft sidewinder 2 I have is USB, so that's no problem. I even upgraded it with the resistor mod to increase the motor force. I'm using "Voice Attack" for Voice commands. Very useful in this scenario

Were you a backer of the Kickstarter or order this directly from their site? I'm waiting on Kickstarter delivery hopefully. This version of the Yaw seems so much more refined than the one they originally planned when it was Yaw 2.
@phunkaeg3 ай бұрын
I wasn't a backer, when they announced the YAW3, I was an early pre-orderer.

How its made that rotation is not picked up in vr googles?
@phunkaeg2 ай бұрын
That's using motion compensation, specifically OpenXR motion compensation. It's calibrated to the centre of rotation of the yaw seat, and directly compensates the VR view using the inverted data sent to the yaw chair

Does the yaw 3 connect to a standard wall outlet?
@phunkaeg4 ай бұрын
@@BFCHeadcam yeah, it sure does. If fact that's the only cable connected to it. Everything else is wireless

Nice! But merely a tease, because i’ve been waiting well over three years for my YAW. In hind-sight, perhaps I should have purchased the DOF H3. I fear the worst, that company goes under.
@phunkaeg3 ай бұрын
I know... I've heard of the kickstarter backers who have been waiting for a long time. And it must hurt to see people getting seats ahead of the queue. But I do hope that the YAW3 is successful, as it will see the Kickstarter backers begin to get their hands on the Yaw3 *fingers crossed*

A few weeks ago, I contacted them directly and asked them how much extra would it cost for me to get it sooner. They got back to me quickly and after looking at my invoice of what I had paid 3 1/2 years ago, they told me if I sent them $1400 (includes chair, 2 side rails, 4 pt seatbelt, YAW T-shirt and delivery to Canada), that I will have it by Christmas. I paid them right away, and today I received delivery! Well, I got two of the three boxes. The last box (base) is coming tomorrow. So it worked out for me and I think the increase in cost was more than fair considering it’s been 3 1/2 years. Incredible support too! I look forward to getting it all set up over the coming holidays 😊

How is the latency, and is it smooth or jerky?

The latency isn't bad at all, it's very smooth.

this can all be tweaked in the profiles - this was a very early attempt.
