Id say using a 3d software is always best, doesn’t make sense to use a 2d program for a 3d task- and that way you have more softwares under your belt :-)

Mkay so I am intrigued enough to subscribe I wanna see where you go with blenderrrrrr Couple of things noted here, you have a great graphics card holy. Also, in the Render properties tab (where you selected GPU compute) at the bottom, in the performance sub-tab, there are "tiles" make the number a larger number like 256, and your rendering will also speed up. For speeding up ANIMATIONS in cycles, reduce overall samples of render, and in compositor enable nodes and add a ( Filter > Denoise ) node. Can be done with old noisey renders too!

Btw if you activate the "Auto Tile Size" addon it'll optimize how many pixels your gpu renders at one time. Gpu's can handle larger tiles than cpu's so I'm pretty sure it'll speed up your cycles renders even more.

You should also use adaptive sampling and (optix) denoising and adapt the tile size to your graphics card. Then it runs even faster. Also, I love your videos! ^^ Just discovered your channel a few days ago

ggs on getting a 3070. Neeky bit of advice but go into performance and set the tile size up to 512x512 and you’ll cut your render times in half at least 😎
