Can I tell you a story Yazik? Back when Amir was competing in Akademi Fantasia (AF) in 2016 (where he was discovered), I wasn't rooting for him. I thought he was boring and I was rooting for another talent named Reshma. She was in a different league, even the judges said so. So I was a bit annoyed when the judges started giving Amir compliment, saying how he made tremendous improvement week by week. I thought oh no, we're gonna have another AF champion that's similar to many singers we have in the past. When he won, I remember thinking, people voted him because he was cute. See how feelings can blurred out our judgement? It's dangerous, people 😐 Anyway, I became his fan last year, after he released this song called Asmara. I started to see what the judges were seeing -- his potential. Even though I'd still vote for Reshma if I had a way (😜) , I realize Amir is a worthy winner as well. And the fact that he works so hard to get to where he is now makes me even more proud of him. Thanks to you too, for making people (especially the ones who doubt him, like I was) notice his talent.

Its different to me..when i saw his performance for the first time at first week i said to myself that he will be the champion for that season..starting 'obses' while his lying down with good voice projection made him look professional..its quiet rare for a newcomer like him

Hi Yazik. Amir is indeed a talented and versatile singer who always conveys his emotions when he sings. He has 5 original songs sung in the Malay language (Bahasa Malaysia). The more well-known ones are 1. Kau Sakiti (Hurt by you) 2.Puas(Satisfied) 3.Asmara (Romance) and 4.Esok (Tomorrow). They are all belters and he has also performed them live (acoustic) - jamming hot, sometimes sounding even better than the original.
