Next, Anuar Zain, Ernie's uncle and Ziana Zain's younger brother, is also a very good singer in Malaysia. She already won awards (not competition) at the age of 17, and have been steamrolling every music award ever since, a testimony of recognition from local and international communities. If your definition of "not even close" is only in term of range, then that is not a good enough measuring stick. Because in many other aspects like dynamics, techniques, flexibility, control, etc, Siti is at the top of the chart.

Sadly Erni Zakri didn't win anything during that night. This was actually a competition for Best Song Award called Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL). Beside for the best song award, there were two extra awards. Actually we predicted that she will win at least Best Vocal Award but unfortunately the judges robbed her. We were badly mad toward the judges. So in order to appreciate this huge great performance, we asked vocal coaches from all over the world to react for her so that she can be appreciated and recognised internationally.

THIS PERFORMANCE WAS SUPER ICONIC ! We were all in awe with the level of performance she gave us. Sadly she wasn’t awarded the Best Vocal Award that night which is SUS as hell. The fact that a lot of international vocal teachers reacted and praised her proved that she deserves it ! Maybe Malaysia is just not yet open up and ready for this amount of skill and talent. She won Best Vocal in her performance for AJL35 in March this year. She sang “Gundah”/ depress @ upset in remembrance of her late grandparents true story. Ohhhh Chase and Melia, you guys have no idea how good our singers are. Of course not all of them, but the good ones are incredible. I think Southeast Asian singers have not been given duly recognitions by the world yet, except for Filipinos because they are more readily accessible by Americans. Yeayyy finally Ernie Zakri. She's one of the best young singers in Malaysia right now. And very well-respected too because she's the kind of singer who sings with knowledge, not just simply sing. I don't know if this fact helps to explain the way she sings, but Ernie is classically trained so I guess that's why she's more comfortable using mixed voice/head voice when she belts. But nevertheless, she is exceptional and we love her. Plus Ernie comes from musical background. Her aunt and uncle are both supreme singers in Malaysia, and her husband is as equally talented too. Hopefully you can react to her duet with her husband, Syamel, they sound awesome together.
