Tyvm for this important lesson bc I have been hurt time and time again in all aspects of my life. Today, my boyfriend broke up with me bc I share to him what I want in my life. A companion. David, would it be correct to say that people can "re-write" their childhood traumas through imagining different scenarios playing out? Would love to hear of any one who's pursued this. Love

I'm a psychotherapist and work with clients working to resolve and integrate childhood traumas. You cannot physically change the past but you can certainly think and feel differently about it. For example, examine what beliefs were formed because of those experiences, do these beliefs still serve you in the present? These beliefs may have made sense at the time you came to believe them, but is it reasonable to still belief them today?
