I did a DS:R bow-only run a little while back, surprisingly easy actually. If you're willing to be patient, then having a bow kind of trivialises most trash encounters in the game, and a LOT of the bosses have cheeses (O+S and Gwyn are some good examples). The hardest part is honestly Asylum Demon, cos you've got 30 arrows to take him out, and it takes ~16 iirc so you basically have one shot to do it.

I'd say vanilla is better for a first playthrough. The enemy placement in Scholar is a lot less forgiving and feels like being thrown to the wolves while vanilla has a better difficulty curve. The item placement and some bonfires is questionable though.

I am In love with this video! The last 3 uploads have been fantastic and I am gonna be re-watching this a LOT so I can route my own Bow run. I will say, The Sea Bow which can drop from the Varangian soldiers wielding a bow, That bow has better scaling and damage than the Long bow which is Very nice until you get the Hunter's Black Bow. Doesn't require much farming and is very strong. Its the bow I use normally in my Quality builds until I get the Hunters bow. Still Fantastic Run Yaz! Cant wait to see the next run.

Before starting the video I'm just gonna say yes. DS2 easily has the best bows in the series. And DS2 is the only game where I want to keep a bow/crossbow on me at all times for either luring or sniping enemies. They shoot fast enough to deal with bosses, poison arrows are just godly and make scarlet rot look like baby shit and they're all really light which makes then solid for a flynn build.

Honestly I have to give my hat off more to Lord of the Rings than Harry Potter. Like there are more Harry Potter movies; but in a nutshell the lore is "magical high school, wizards/witches high schoolers, there's an evil wizard". A lot of movies, likeable characters, not enough lore to keep me hooked. Lord of the Rings on the other hand, there's more than just the movies. Like just the whole background story with Morgoth alone has more depth than all the Harry Potter movies combined imo. And that's not even mentioning the Nazgul, Sauron, the Witch King of Angmar, Smaug, Azog the defiler, the Uruk-hai orcs, the Balrogs.

In the first movie the Fellowship of the Ring; the one fight towards the end with the Uruk-hai captain and Aragorn, as they were filming that scene there was an actual knife thrown at Aragorn that he blocks. Both Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are great, I like the inspiration that sparked both. Harry Potter getting its ideas from WW2 and Lord of the Rings having its mythology & Christian roots along with Tolkien's WW1 experience

did you know you can kill executioners chariot in a special way with poison arrows as he runs? not dropping the gate and getting health down is the way, basically at the last part of his health bar the horse doesn't have the strength to make the jump over the pit anymore.

Was in physical pain when you dark infused the dragon rider bow lmao. Split damage is bad and 3 elements is big oof. Magic or Enchanted is best for that bow with magic arrows
