"Lingsir wengi" is Javanese word which means "the midnight". The song is a very old song composed by Sunan Kalijogo, one of welknown ulama in Jawa, in 8 th century. It told us a story of woman at the bigining just getting fun in meeting a man, then she falled in love but ended in severe sadness.

i think rather than bending up a stricken pitch, he bend it first before plucking the string and then complete the full bend and have the finger back to original position giving a kind of bending down pitch effect... you are correct i think
