**I actually did NOT pay $279 for this slider, it was $179... I clicked on the wrong link when making this script. Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's anymore available at that price. I did include a link in the description for the longer version at $179 tho!!

Hey hey, I just wanted to bring information to you about amazon and suggest not to condone shopping through them as they have been supporting and participating in the genocide of palestine along with a multitude of other ethical issues.. and since litterally proof of them beheading babies.. supporting anything that goes to Israel is definitely complicite. Please stay conscious and aware of where your money is going and who it's supporting and move your money towards your morals/ethics/values. It is more important than ever.

The cheapest gear in 2024 is better than the best gear in 1980 when most of our favorite films of all time were made. Let that sink in. We don't need better gear, we need better ideas.

I was just wailing to myself, "The FOGGER shall be Mine!" I live in a forest, which is just made for cinematography! Getting out at dawn-ish with that little nipper would make for some very cool, moody shots. I don't do waiting good. I'm only...yes, yes, I was right!--Three weeks until payday. Pish.

It was overkill, and just shows that the poster of this video, has no idea how to light a scene, or use “smoke”. It looks like cheap television on steroids minus the lighting. The particulates of these Halloween (glycerin and water based) foggers are way too thick, don’t hang the same and don’t look as great on camera as traditional haze. And you should definitely never use this much of it. From a professional standpoint, it looks incredibly cheap and lazy. You can buy a cheap stick of incense for a nickel, and waft that around a room and achieve a much better look. It’s a wonder why not a single KZbin “budget filmmaker” ever talks about these things…could it be they are just pushing crap their sponsors want you to buy? 🤔 But if you insist on having a fog machine, they cost $30 off the shelf. This look should be subtle and only used on certain occasions to add depth to a space. And if you’re looking for a dramatic effect from it, like a mist rolling across the ground or something, you’re looking in the wrong part of KZbin for ideas. It’s wild to me to see so many people thinking that thick fog looks cinematic or dramatic, because it’s a trend with KZbinrs. You really want to look like everyone else? Or is it just another toy you’ll never use?

I will be documenting my learning process from November 2024 to August 2025, during which I plan to compete in a competition. Although I have already purchased my classes from Udemy, I wish I had kept my Skillshare account after watching your video two months ago. Your video about your car breaking down, along with all the other challenges you've faced with kids in the background, made me realize that I can do this too. I will dedicate my time from 4 AM to 7 AM and from 6 PM to 9 PM to learning this craft and getting back into shape. Thank you, brother. I wish you lived in Chicago so I could work with you! Man. Bag alone is good to go. Being a guy that carry’s a lot on him, and doesn’t want to look as if I’m carrying anything this would help keep me from being crazy noticeable while carrying my camera gear. The lens is dope, and would be great to add to anyones collection, and that smoke machine adds so much character that it’s a no brainer.

Concur. I've been using Kroger reusable grocery bags. It's not the look I am trying to put together. I already look like a dirty hippie as it is. Showing up in a twenty-year-old station wagon, real worn Levis, not worn out by some Chinese line worker scrubbing in worn out spots---for a price. Everything I own is baggy so the fashion decision I make is wearing what I find closest to me that I can get over my head. White sox with clogs carrying three bags of what appears to be all of my worldly goods in grocery bags. New clients think that giving me Any Money up front was a serious mistake. Who are they going to get to fix my drug induced footage? So, yeah. I make sure I'm fast and can slap together work fast and perfect. This is not the moment for them to know that everything they thought before about my unprofessionalism, was spot-on correct. And Absolutely, I had the advance spent by dinnertime that night. Forty dollars a bag for something that would make me look like I am just arty, would be a wise investment.🤫

Now Im thinking perhaps i should use my slider more often, especially for my vlogs.

6:20 the phenomenon you are describing there, the fact that repeating a word over and over again makes it loose its meaning, has a visual pendant as well. Its called Gestaltzerfall, or shape decomposition in english and its one of the most fascinating psychological issues plaging humans. Its the loss of conceptual categories as a filter method for our brains heuristic systems to organize the disjointed information of reality into a perception we can actually use

I am a budget shoper and especially for one off items, if we dont use them often a lot of times so keeping it cheap is best. I want a macro rail more than a slider, I would like a slider but with 8K filming I feel like I can do most of the effect just in post. Got some cheap mist filters I like them mostly for night time shots with neons and stuff, but they can also help smooth skin for portraits. I actually just got I think the exact same fog machine but cheaper and a different brand (have not tested it yet) I was using a halloween fog machine before and its really hard to use in a controlled fashion. Also Pro Tip: you can make your own fog juice super cheap and it works BETTER than the stuff you can buy. Just got a cheap monitor for my camera not long ago too, and bags lol its so strange that I got almost everyting you have in this video. I need to chill though, I am starting to look like a horder with so much stuff everywhere.

I use the zeapon micro 2 camera slider that has a motorized pan tilt that works with an app that you can program every bit of movement and it’s nice and small but well made. I’ll send them. I think I paid a little over $600. But I’ve used that atmosphere haze working with some volleyball players and the one girl slipped on the floor because that atmosphere haze leaves a serious film on top of the floor that makes it like ice. So I switch to a fog machine that I could use either quit dispersing fog or long lasting fog. But that haze machine that you just showed looks like, it’s a great investment. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought the Viltrox monitor for my BMPCC 6K Pro and there's a huge difference between what the monitor displays and what the camera screen shows, it's way more contrasty. I only use it for framing really, so it's all good. The focus peaking seems slightly off vs the camera as well. It might just be my model to be fair as all I hear are good things about it (hence the purchase). Everything else with it is top notch.

The fogger is basically a beefed up vape. Probably is using a coil or ceramic coil inside to rapidly heat up some Vg/PG mixture (which is typically what all fog machines use). Pretty neat to see though. I have used my vape in the past in a pinch for smoke effects and it works well.
