Do people forget that Demon Slayer fights are on an extremely small scale. The effects and scale looks big due to the animation direction to make it look bigger and more tense. Even the effects of the breathing style’s don’t exist. The effects are only there for visual representation effects for the viewer, which the author confirmed. The modern military would be able to easily figure out their enemies weaknesses. So upper moons would barely stand a chance to the modern military. With the exponential knowledge that we have nowadays, it would be easy to find and adapt to new problems.

Dude if we’re talking about the modern modern military, they would wipe the floor with the upper moons. They have night vision, thermal imaging so they can see the demons in the dark and not just in the dark but also the heat given off by their bodies! Aircrafts have thermal imaging also along with their missiles! Modern missiles are accurate to a pinpoint, there are even videos on KZbin that show how accurate they are where they have practice bombs land right on top of a traffic cone. Also the military would find out very quickly the demons weaknesses and find a way to exploit them all to their fullest potential. They would bring in UV flashlights, grenades, flares, heck even UV lights big enough to cover a football stadium. Also modern fighter jets have weapon systems that are designed to engage enemy combatants that are miles away and the same jets are capable of aerial refueling so they don’t ever have to touch ground. The military wouldn’t go in half prepared they would have entire teams and factories dedicated to making anti demon weapons. Not to mention they could also bring in illumination flares and tracer rounds mixed in with scarlet rounds. Also the infinity castle would be made short work of if they learn more about it before the fight even begins, tipping the scales largely in their favor. They would not go at this half baked, they would serve Muzan’s rear to him on a nichirin pattern. They wouldn’t even necessarily have to fight him in a battle, they would just have to track his movements and follow him. They would find out where he frequents, his hideouts, abilities and more. Then they will find a way to sneak up on Muzan and beam him with UV flashlight, a full 200 watts.

Modern tanks are meant to resist high explosive by using sloped armour and several layers of metal and other materials, even if he is able to punch through that there are several active systems that counters the shells by detonating them before reaching the tank. To be fair, the demons can regenarate and literally destroy small buildings and even large buildings (for stronger demons) We humans survive by adapting since we cannot regenerate or have unlimited stamina like the demons, the demons would easily survive normal guns and bunch of normal soldiers. They would need more advanced stuff in order to hit them.

Man, you've forgot about 1 critical detail: snipers. Ussualy every squad has at least 1 soldier armed with sniper rifle. Specialised units can have more of them in the team. The fight would probably went like that: several groups will pinn the demons down, and the rest will just blow the demon's skulls up with heavy rounds or explosive bullets.
