Honestly, while I can imagine that Hashira Gyutaro would adamantly refuse to interact with Nezuko, I can see him holding a lot of respect for Tanjiro and getting along surprisingly well. I mean, Tanjiro is an older brother who’s sister is practically fighting all the cells in her body and is willing to fight the Hashira at any moment to keep her safe. I also imagine this Hantengu would likely be the most friendly of the swap Hashira towards Tanjiro and Nezuko since Tanjiro feels sorry for Demons as well while Nezuko is holding strong to her humanity and so see her as a human instead of a Demon.

I definitely like this idea but I do see a bit of a flaw. You’re giving them super powers when in the manga it is said that the hashira and demon slayer corps members don’t actually weird their elements(water,fire,wind) just that their movements look as such to the untrained eye of a spectator. Hence why demons with blood demon art are so impressive because demon slayers don’t have those powers. Even the hashira

Gyokko, as you describe him, would be killable in SO many ways here. First, he has to unstrap his pot from his back to access his swords, if the pot shatters he'll take multiple blows on his torso and head, and the pot is way to heavy for him to really be fast at moving with it.

Rui: Insect Breathing + creates a new form (spider related obviously) Enmu: Dream Breathing 1st form: Daydream (ranged move, does a single horizontal slash hitting enemies with a burst of energy the puts demons into a dream state) 2nd form: Blackout (stabs his sword into the ground the way inosuke does his 7th form, and this sends out a big radial wave that disorients demons, making it harder for them to see 3rd form: Blink (dashes towards his opponent and does a swift slash that seemingly instantaneously decapitates it) Gyutaro (assuming he still uses sickles): Blood Breathing 1st form: Disable (if Gyutaro is able to slash a demon after activating the form, getting it's blood onto his sickles, he can immobilize the demon at will) 2nd form: Bloodthirst (Gyutaro's senses are enhanced and has more of a killer instinct) 3rd form: Rotating Blood Slashes (basically his blood demon art, but he has to swing his arms because he is human, so it's more similar to tengen's 4th form) Akaza (nichirin knuckle dusters) 1st form: Amplify (compass needle) 2nd form: Kaigaku and Kokushibo are self explanitory These are all of my ideas, if anyone wants to list any more ideas or characters, then reply to this comment

Heacanon time!! 1.-Rui: Despite becoming a demon slayer and somewhat overcoming his weak and frail body, Rui is still too weak to become a Hashira and remains a tsuguko of the current insect Hashira, dedicating himself to a mostly supportive role in battle. He wields a sword much like Shinobu's but the real kicker comes from the multiple steel wire reels he carries (which are described as a pain in the ass to create by the swordsmiths), and everything is coated in dreaded wisteria poison. His technique relies on restricting demons' movements as well as setting up traps for demons to fall in. He mostly accompanies other Hashiras for high-level missions to provide support and reduce collateral damage in battle. Also he is a close friend and partner to Daki and Gyutaro for reasons I'll describe later. His background is pretty much the same as in the manga, however, one night his parents come home telling him about a supposed cure for his condition (the blue spider lilly perhaps?), promising to find out more the next day the family goes to sleep, only to be interrupted by a Demon attack. Tragically Rui's parents are killed by the demon while trying to protect him and Rui witnesses his parent's demise. Driven by rage and sadness Rui attacks the demon until he restricts him using threads until the sun comes up. Rui is found that same morning by a Demon Slayer who was dispatched to the area and finds him still crying by his parents' side. 2.-Enmu: I actually wouldn't change much from the vid, only adding that his breathing technique requires the use of fans and that it resembles a dance that aids in hypnotizing his opponents. 3&4.-Daki & Gytaro: The Hashira and Tsuguko sibling pair and wielders of the Love and Blood breathing styles respectively and despite being among the physically weaker Hashira (due to Daki's young age and slim physical complexion and Gyutaro's congenital illness), they make up for it with teamwork and battle iq. Daki wields a whip-like a a katana much like Mitsuri and it lies hidden in the belts of her kimono, their techniques differ however in that Daki uses her sword mostly for ranged attacks as well as blocking and defending others from demon attacks, keeping them safe and covering the rear so that they can focus on the main target. Her final weapon is the poisoned hair pins that she keeps at all times, using them for close combat situations as well as supporting her brother in his Blood breathing style. Gyutaro wields his signature nichirin sickles, and uses the unique Blood breathing style, a creation of his own much like Inosuke's Beast Style. Taking inspiration from water, ice, insect, and love breathing, Blood is the most technically demanding breathing style, requiring knowledge of the human body and anatomy. It targets important blood vessels and nerve clusters which cause the demon to become sluggish or paralyzed when hit. If paired with Rui's poison his attacks can cause even upper moons to struggle in regenerating injuries inflicted by him. This however is only reserved for battling the twelve moons or when a battle is being prolonged by the demon. Their backstory would change when, on the day of Ume's attempted cremation, Gyutaro would leave work early, only to find his sister about to be burned by the samurai, he barely saves her but is injured in the back in the process. Knowing they couldn't defeat their persuers they would attempt to flee the red light district, but during their attempted escape, they'd come across the Upper Sixth Demon Moon. The demon would call out the siblings saying that Gyutaro was too disgusting to eat but Ume would prove to be the finest of meals. Provoking the sibling's ire they'd try to fend the demon off but fail and just before Ume was devoured both were saved by a recently promoted Ice Hashira Douma, who would be incable of defeating the demon and would instead rescue the siblings, bringing them to the Butterfly Mansion to heal Gyutaro's wounds. Knowing their previous lives in the Red Light District were over, Gyutaro decides to join the demon slayer corps, training under Douma's wing and originally forced Daki to remain as a nurse in the Butterfly Mansion trying to keep her out of harm's way while he provided for her well being. They'd continue like that until one of Gyutaro's later missions, when Daki followed her brother while he confronted a Lower Moon, despite his training and improvement Gyutaro would find himself quickly overpowered by the demon, and just before the Lower Moon gave the killing blow Daki would step in and give her brother enough time to behead them by plucking the Demon's eyes out with her hair pins. After their battle Daki reminds her brother of the promise he made about always being together, convincing Gyutaro that Daki should become a demon slayer like him. Claiming both had defeated the Lower Moon, Gyutaro is elevated to a Hashira rank and Daki begins her training in earnest as his Tsuguko. Sidenote: They began a partnership with Rui after learning of his poison relying techniques since they figured that his wisteria poison would fit perfectly with their breathing styles. Also Gyutaro feels a strong kinship with Rui since both of them were born with congenital deceases that originally made them weak, but were both able to overcome them with the aid of the demon slayer corps. He also feels a strong admiration for the Ice Hashira Douma, grateful for his help in saving his sister and training him as his Tsuguko. Also, despite being one of the more temperamental and aggressive Hashiras he displays a remarkable sense of empathy towards the demons and constantly asks himself that, had something gone different that day, had he left work later, had he bought those rice balls, had the samurai managed to harm Ume, or had Douma not been there to save them. What would've happened then? He believes that some demons are the result of "one bad day" and acknowledges that had something been different he may have found himself on the receiving end of a nichirin blade aaaaand I'm too lazy to write about the rest (I'm an anime only peasant.) maybe later

I'll continue the line 5: gyokko Gyokko's story is still the same, but here he didn't kill the child that mocked him, instead scaring it off. He was still psychotic, but after a demon attack he became disgusted and fascinated with demons and eventually ended up joining the demon slayer corps. Gyokko at some point also began his pottery artwork job and uses it to make money. Though he is still a bit on the deranged side, his targets are now almost exclusively demons, sometimes prolonging fights with demons on purpose just to make them mad and feed his desire to see demons suffer. 6: Hantengu Hantengu had the hardest journey on his way to becoming a hashira and redemption. He was still a thief and liar, but eventually he would suffer a near death experience at the hands of a lower rank demon from the twelve kizuki. After surviving the attack(either because the sun came up and the demon fled or he was saved by a demon slayer) he developed a strong fear of death and oddly enough started training as a priest to cope, repeating chants and prayers day and night, which indirectly caused him to stop his criminal activity. Eventually he ended up becoming a demon slayer, learning sound breathing and becoming a hashira 7: Hakuji(Akaza) Hakuji's story would be the same as his original story, but koyuki would go with him to visit his father's grave, leading to only keizo being poisoned. Hakuji and koyuki would try to cure keizo but he'd eventually succumb to the poison, angering hakuji as he failed to protect keizo and now koyuki is mourning his death. in an act of vengence, he would still pulverise the other dojo's members, but he would be stopped by koyuki before he kills anyone. hakuji however, would make it clear that if the rival dojo ever messed with him or koyuki again he would kill them all even if koyuki protested against it. They would then leave and start anew in the dojo, and hakuji would join the demon slayer corps for unknown reasons and create his own breathing style. 8: Doma Doma's story is still like the original, with the paradise faith cult and him being emotionless, but doma wouldn't be turned into a demon, instead after a demon attack that killed many of his followers he was disgusted(mostly by the stench of the corpses) and viewed demons as vile and disgusting beings. After that he joined the demon slayer corps at an unknown time, deriving from water breathing to create ice breathing and became a hashira after defeating a lower rank demon. He also saved ume and gytaro from death by an upper rank demon. Even though he is still an emotionless individual and the leader of a cult, he does get along well with the other hashiras and at least pretends to have feelings. 9: Michikatsu(Kokushibo) Michikatsu's story is also the same as the original, but even with the envy of his brother and the knowledge he will die once he turns 25 years old because of the demon slayer mark he doesn't end up becoming a demon, instead deciding to pass on his moon breathing techniques and repairing his relationship with yorrichi(if he is still alive in this timeline), prefering to die as a human and a proud samurai than to turn into a demon. I'm too lazy to think of anything else to write lol Edit: decided to write 3 bonuses for Kaigaku, Kyogai and Nakime Kaigaku: Kaigaku's story is unchanged, so he is still a theif and a terrible person, treating Zenitsu like trash constantly, but he has a moral standing of hating demons more than anything and views becoming a demon as the same as dying. As a result he hates demons with a passion. He's not a hashira though. But he has finally learned the first form of thunder breathing. Kyogai: the tsuguko of the music hashira Nakime. He is learning music breathing directly from Nakime but modifies 2 of the forms to fit his drum instead of Nakime's biwa. He never encountered a demon but after being deemed useless too many times he just stopped playing his drums altogether until he met Nakime who introduced him to the demon slayer corps and encouragrd him to seek his dream in becoming a musician. Nakime: The mysterious Music Hashira(Music Breathing is a fan style derived from sound breathing). She rarely speaks and has a biwa along with her nichirin blade at all times. Her breathing techiques are split between forms styled from sound breathing that use her nichirin sword and forms similar to Enmu's dream breathing where she uses her biwa to make sounds that hypnotise and disorient demons so that she goes for the attack. Her music breathing has 6 forms, 4 offensive ones with the nichirn sword and 2 unique forms that reguire her biwa. She became a hashira by killing both 50 demons and a member of the twelve kizuki as the 50th demon she killed was lower 6 of the twelve kizuki. The biggest problem here is that the Hashiras are made too powerful in comparison to the demons. As cool as they look, they're not that strong. It was said that not even the strongest modern Hashira (Gyomei) could single handedly defeat the 3 strongest Upper Moons. By this logic, I was thinking to make Kokushibou around Demon Gyomei level at highest, seeing his heritage as a Tsugikuni and power comparison when the roles were reversed.

As we know, the breathing styles don't actually have the powers and are there to just look flashy, so might as well break down these styles into proper techniques! Rui and spider breathing: There is only one way I could see spider breath techniques working, cutting joints/tendons/muscles as to temporarily slow down or immobilize demons much like a spider stops their prey with webs (An argument could be made for a paralysis poison but why not just go all the way), and I agree with the insect descent. Enmu and dream breathing: This works! Hypnosis can work with simple noises and for all we know, might be effective on demons! Probably based off of sound/thunder breathing so he could arguably make it louder in some way or you could go with wind due to the unpredictable nature much like beast breathing. Daki and Gyutaro with blood breathing: All I can think of is ultra violence, treat it as a form that focuses on attack and, with two pillars who use it all the time. Together. Combo attacks galore! Perhaps another wind breath descendant? Akaza and destruction breathing: First off, let us change the name to shatter breathing, not much better (unless you say shatter breath to make it sound eh) and make it from sound or thunder and damn. Second, give my man a sword, even though he is an expert with his hands, no doubt he learned some sword tricks cause martial arts. Now then, make his techniques stem from his punches, then followed up by large, powerful slashes. Shatter then slash, hence the name. Wind breath style for sure. Douma and ice breathing: Ice breath could descend from stone or water breath, but let us go with water. Probably a single, defensive stance that allows demons to attempt to attack, where his forms truly shine in counter attacks. Brings in the fluid movements of water while making it tough much like ice without the right tools. I hope this is at least an acceptable attempt, have a good day people!

I think Gyokko would have Mud/Pot breathing, 1st form makes him use mud to cover his enemies that temporary stuns them (the effect lasts depending on the demon's strength), 2nd form will make a mud barrier to block attacks, 3rd form will make his body parts mud also for blocking, 4th form will use mud to extend his sword holding hand for long range, 5th form will make a mud ground (10 meters long) to sink the weak enemies, and 6th form (his final) would allow him to control mud from his pot like gaara.

I feel like Daki would Use beauty breathing a branch off of love and her sword would be stretchy like mitsuris and I think gyutaro would have a uniform similar to tengens and use nichirin sickels, to be internally honest I wanna say gyutaro would use poison, last thing I swear I feel like douma would also have a uniform like tengens Edit: Nvm I think enmu might use mist breathing idk why I just feel it
