You know what I feel like could’ve been an interesting casting choice? Peter Behn as Sabino. He was the voice of Young Thumper in Bambi, so imagine one of the classic Disney cast coming back to appear in Wish

From what ive heard about this movie its like disney wanted an anniversary film like how one wants an office party. It looks good n the organizers assume everyone is more excited for it than they are while misunderstanding what the target would want to celebrate..

The worst part about Wish is that it's boring. Even the songs being Okay and the art style being Not That Bad doesn't save it from being unforgettable, which is the worst thing you could be. Better to be incredibly good or horrendously bad than boring because then at least you're worth remembering. But Wish left all of its potential on the cutting room floor and I will never forgive them for what they took from us (star boy, evil couple, Asha being an artist/animator - which would have worked so well to honor the artists that made Disney what it is today but WHATEVER)

i may have just found you and as i agree with most the stuff you said idl like to defend my 1 movie of all time treasure planet was so well done they purpously made it flop so lilo and stitch would have a better release

I don't want to actually watch this movie, so I gotta ask. Does it say how old the king is? Or when he took the grandfather's wish? From another review I assumed the grandfather handed his wish over at 18 like everyone else, but if thats true the king must be around 100 himself. I don't remember hearing that it had to be 18 either though, so now I'm wondering.

There's not really a timeline established at all in this movie unfortunately. I feel like you could argue that the grandfather isn't native to Rosas, so when he got to the island, he gave his wish, despite being older than 18. In the wish ceremony, the people he does take wishes from seem to be older than 18 at least? So I think it's more of like a citizenship thing, where you don't get to fully be a Rosas citizen when you get there until you give your wish, regardless of age. But if you're born there, you're required to give them at 18. (And it's 18 because it's mentioned in the opening song.)
