I'm mixed on the idea of The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 because while I like the first movie I'm hoping Nintendo or Illumination will understand some on the negative feedback from the first movie and improve on it for the second movie. In fact this reminds me with what happened to the Five Nights at Freddy's Movie and while that movie is overall Fine that movie definitely had way more problems that what the Mario Movie had because of it's awful and confusing narrative and the movie not being very scary despite being a 15 rated movie and guess what the Five Nights at Freddy's Movie is also getting a sequel as well and let me tell yeah I'm not looking forward to that because the first movie wasn’t that great. I'm overall mixed with the The Super Mario Bros Movie getting at sequel but I'm not excited for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie getting a sequel.

@@thadmaster7 If you’re not excited for the Mario movie sequel (which considering how much I love the original for just being so unapologetically cartoonish, colourful and fun/optimistic, and can’t wait to see not just one sequel in early 2026 no matter what any modern Disney defender says, but also a threequel like “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” with Jennifer Aniston as Rosalina, Anna Kendrick as Princess Daisy, Channing Tatum, Christopher Lloyd and miscellaneous as the penguins from Sea Slide Galaxy such as the Penguin Coach, Lenguru, the coach’s students and the guppy), then I can guarantee you won’t be excited for live-action remakes/animated sequels of the post-DisneyToon Studios (and Inside Out 2 considering that it was so popular that it I even made us not mind seeing Riley Anderson’s adult life with a mom bod in a threequel) era (yeah, I think that while the now defunct company can definitely make bad sequels every now and then, especially Hunchback 2, they also made plenty of underrated gems, too many to name, but definitely over half of their overall catalog of nearly 50 films), most notably the ones by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures for rehashing and ruining the originals, not just because of the inferior, more overly CGI’d visuals, but also because of “the message” being hammered down our throats where “white men are inferior” rather than everyone be treated equally regardless of their background (be it male, female, transgender, straight, gay, bisexual, white or of color) or which makes the strong female characters so much worse than Princess Peach (mainly in this movie, and sometimes even before, although Peach is far from perfect as well, especially for the mostly if not completely high standards of Mario because even though she’s about as strong as other CCG staffers in the franchise, she had a questionable past where she made Mario go through hell and back just to save her and can’t decide whether she loved him or would rather be with men that did less for her like Haru from the inferior yet still nostalgic 1986 movie, which thankfully, since the ending of Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo, even with its many, many ups and downs, learned the hard way by keeping a lot of what’s been charming about her most of her existence which is that she can show that like Daisy and Rosalina, she can be both feminine and empowered at the same time like in Super Mario Adventures and pretty much all her mid-2020s escapades starting with Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Super Mario Bros. Wonder which were far from the first times she was in character, one time I can point to when it comes to 2020s Mario games where she didn’t try to escape was a Paper Mario game released between Super Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door remake, no big shock) in this movie ever will be, but then again, this is coming from someone who saw hilariously bad anti-woke cartoons if you’re morbidly curious to check them out like Mr. Birchum (to say that they changed the design of the titular character’s wife by making her a lot less attractive, likely because of even worse animation, than in the dropped pilot would be the least of its problems considering how hard it tries to be offensive and pandering to anti-SJWs when really it’s just making a fool out of itself by worshipping the protagonist and dehumanizing the antagonist even if the former is absolutely in the wrong and the latter, despite being left-leaning and not flawless, can actually make good points to the students Birchum would teach to ruin the world), The New Norm (which I found out while it’s debatable with Wish and other Disney movies, items undebatable that TNN was entirely created by an AI) and the ones by PragerU famously reviewed/roasted by Saberspark and others. So yeah, people like me wouldn’t like The Super Mario Bros. Movie and anticipate its sequel because it’s “anti-woke”, but because while we know it won’t appeal to everyone and objectively it could have been a little bit better hence what the sequel is for, it’s good enough that it matters as little or even less (like, *way* less) what critics (re: Rotten Tomatoes) say about this movie (and many others including The Road to El Dorado, take that, First Class Junk! DreamWorks Animation then >>> DreamWorks Animation now) than what we audience members say about it (in this case, I trust the audiences on that site that this movie is anywhere near a 9-10/10 while the critics like Beyond the Trailer and ElectricDragon505 being the worst examples of people who just don’t want us to love this movie and are just trying to “justify its low standards” are so close yet so far from giving it even the slightest bit of a “Fresh” score), and perhaps The Super Mario Bros. Movie sequels (and maybe even spin-offs might make at least, at the very least, a quarter-billion to half-billion dollars on a budget of approximately 100M dollars) might earn 2B-3B dollars at the box office if they turn out so good, like, I definitely predict TSMBM2 will just be the highest-grossing (animated and maybe even general) film of 2026 (besides the upcoming LarryBoy: A VeggieTales Movie, which makes me think, considering how many mid-length movies and 2D TV-length episodes he’s really had in the original series, that if LarryBoy can have a feature film, it should also be the turn of Boyz in the Sink with new additions like the French Peas, Jerry Gourd, Bob the Tomato and Archibald Asparagus to finally have their own movie) as opposed to another sequel to Toy Story and Frozen the same year as someone who wouldn’t consider myself to be all “anti-Disney” if I enjoy a lot of what they made before the Coronavirus an only wish they can be a lot better than they are nowadays with their agendas, CGI and focusing too much on “depth” and “the message” which would surely please the critics more than the audiences. So while I’m hopeful that even if Toy Story and Frozen may overstay their welcome and will very likely get their butts kicked by another one of those Mario movies from the mid-2020s, I’ll just pray for the best that they’ll be pleasant surprises, knowing how especially difficult it will be when Disney would now turn Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar into sequel/remake factories as shown in Pete Docter’s infamous interview.

Two months ago, the Mysterious Mr. Enter broke his silence on Rebecca, and exposed her grooming against minors(by participating in fetish art because giants, asking them if they turned 18, and thought Wes had a diaper kink), Indiegogo scam(ripping off elements from Madoka, and she made Kyubey black), association with Nekopan who was exposed for being a pedophile and so on. Lazy Bedhead followed onto the investigation by contacting Rebecca's victim(who should stay anonymous), and helping John out after LioConvoy did the same from 2021-2024(she admitted at the end of the former two-parter this was the second time she spent a year delving into an unhinged internet personality, the first being gore and NSFL addict Plagued Moth a year prior). Recently, Mr. Enter made a Danganronpa-esque video detailing how the drama got worse with the likes of MysticMongrel, who despised both Nekopan and Phantomstrider(even after the former was banned from the latter's Discord server upon realizing she solicited nudes from minors) and attempted a raid on Strider's Discord. I recommend you watch these videos to give your thoughts exactly. Mr. Enter with 'Regarding StarGiant', and 'StarGiant Productions Needs To Be In Prison', and Lazy Bedhead with 'StarGiant Productions: A Burnt Out Star'(now received the deluxe edition, combining both parts into a two-hour setpiece).

I respect youre opionon I will at least say one thing about the mario movie 1, it at least had time to have the charicters pause and reflect. And mario lerned to never give up. And it had a good moral message on heroisim. For an ok kids film like it that is far superriour to the absoloute plot plot plot, asha learning nothing, and dangous moral message that wish had witch was that there is no such thing as a bad wish. Huh maybe wish was the worst animated film of 2023 after all Seriously a wish 2 would be a literal nightmare, and a wish 3 would be worse.

It kinda shares a similarity with the First Sonic Movie in a way where it played too safe despite the amount of references found within it. I just hope the next Mario Movie takes more notes from the source material like how Sonic Movie 2 did for their franchise.

Exactly, I feel like people that just love to criticize The Super Mario Bros. Movie and not want to see more of what Universal/Illumination can do with it are (mainly post-2000s) Disney shills (looking at you, ElectricDragon505!) who would hypocritically hate to see Princess Peach be anything more than a stereotypically feminine princess (I don’t mind her design where she wears a pink bill gown, has yellow hair and pink/red lipstick, but that’s not an excuse to make her how she is or was in the Super Mario games save for Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D World and especially Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and this is coming from a fan of the series, mainly SMB3, SMW1&2, SML1&2, SMG, SM3DW+BF and SMBW))/damsel in distress while also thinking hating live-action Hollywood remakes (a lot of them being by Disney and others, yes, even Universal is making a remake of How to Train Your Dragon) and other non-original cash cows by Disney like Marvel and Star Wars is sexist, racist, salty/jealous, nostalgia-blind and immature.
