I wonder which other model this EOS B500 is based on? The Yamaha EOS B900 is the same as the Yamaha QS300 I think I read. I got a QS300 back in 2021 really cheap and its great.

I'm not sure I've ever heard any mention of the B500 being 1-to-1 with any other Yamaha synth. Unlike the B200 which was the same as the YS200 and TQ5!

So the cards for the B200 do not work in the B500?

The EOS B500 and B700 are based on Yamaha's DASS synth engine. Most notably in the SY-22 and TG-33. I really like the sound of this series, personally. VIintage rompler meets 2-OP FM. The whole EOS series was basically made to be trendy for the young market.
