With the amount of population and territory Ukraine lost i cant understand how anyone would think they are not losing. Nearly half or their population fled their country, they lost hundred tousand of young men, their industry was erased and they are occupied by an enemy. And on top of all of this they own USA so much money that even if they magicaly won they would become a pupet state...

In the start of WW1 there were no tanks, and the frontlines were stuck by the trenches and now in WW3 drones appeared and they basically destroy all the tanks and armed vehicles, so tanks and armed vehicles became useless on battlefield in our time, yet they still serve purpose, but now not much, after both parts of the conflict raised their drone production and after frontline became really stable with mines, trenches and a lot of other systems of defense, tanks and armed vehicles do almost nothing. So in result we came back to the frontline changes similar to the start of WW1. Technology is changing, making previous technology be useless and forgotten forever. As already mentioned, I know that tanks existed in WW1, but they appeared on late stage so… I forgor that tanks were🐗

I'm sure in a few years new tanks will be outfitted with better anti-drone protection, thus neutralizing this weakness. Also, tanks are still useful, but Ukraine is not equipped to use Combined Arms Warfare properly, and until the battle of Avdiivka Russia flat out didn't know how combined arms worked. (Sending tanks without aircover, counter-battery equipment or infantry support is really stupid) Remember 10's of thousands of tanks were killed in ww2, they are a target like everything else.

The Benty Grange hanging bowl is a fragmentary Anglo-Saxon artefact from the seventh century CE. All that remains are parts of two escutcheons: bronze frames that are usually circular and elaborately decorated, and that sit along the outside of the rim or at the interior base of a hanging bowl. A third disintegrated soon after excavation. The escutcheons were found in 1848 by an antiquary, Thomas Bateman, in a tumulus in north-western Derbyshire. Except it isn't. Avdiivka fell in a completely different way, with way less losses for both sides. After fall of Bakhmut the frontline stood still, while after fall of Avdiivka the front pretty much collapsed and after around a week resulted in loss of 3, almost 5 villages. Completely different scenarios.
