Henson, I've been training horses for 25+ years. I watch your videos because you train differently than I do. Each horse is different and trainers need a tool box full of tools to adapt to each horse! Just because your methods are different from other trainers does not mean that you are wrong! Those that say should do things differently may want to look at things from a different perspective. The goal for all trainers should be, is the horse better at the end of a session than it was at the beginning of the session. Good trainers are willing to try different methods if the methods being used aren't making the horse better. Horsemanship is a journey with no end. Henson, keep doing what you are doing as long as it works. Be willing to adapt your methods to make the horse better because our goal is to make the horse a better equine partner!

I continue to be mesmerized by Henson’s teaching abilities. Very calm and confident with the yearlings and they trust him. Priceless. Thank you for teaching us, your other herd. Hey, Danielle.

I never tire of Henson starting these young pnes! And of course, when he starts them under saddle. I really appreciate a well broke ranch horse. They learn so much and gave time to put their brain to work. I think it builds a better foundation for whatever is ahead of them as they find new owners.

Simply love watching you work the youngsters. You have such a great way with horses. For Danielle to say what she did, sounds like someone may have made an ugly comment. Please ignore not nice people (they are probably couch potatos) You are kind, gentle, and have a ton of experience and patience. Like I said, I personally love the way you break colts, and I've learned a ton of great tips watching you. So thank you Henson! And thank you Danielle for putting out such amazing videos, and I love watching you barrel racing! Ya'll are awesome!! Love and God Bless you all at the PDR of 💜 ✝️ Jennifer

Teaching a horse to accept the handler as the leader goes hand in with the process of taming. There is a dif between taming and training. Henson does a great job of finding that happy medium and creates an accepting attitude from the horses he works with. Trust and leadership with a mind that can think and figure out that there is no harm or pain involved.

I am a couch potato from Florida, but ya'll raise some of the smartest horses, Henson makes it look too easy, he is so gentle with the horses. I love watching him and not try to compare him to others I watch But the horses he puts in the round pen to work have come from the pastures, may have been handled 8 times including branding, having them tied up, trips in the trailer and still they listen and trust him. JHeart bloodlines must be some of the best, ya"ll are definitely doing something right.

I understand about the flag. It’s is all about getting her to read your intentions. Sometimes the flag is for desensitizing and sometimes it’s for movement. She should be looking to you and reading your body language, not focusing on an inanimate object.

Negative comments - find somewhere else to give out your "expert" horse knowledge. These are Painted Desert Ranch horses, not YOUR horses. These horses turn out like Painted Desert Ranch wants them to turn out. These horses get put together like Painted Desert Ranch wants them. Buyers know what they're getting.
