It was Emily Browning's Film "God Help The Girl" with Olly as her leading man, that introduced me to Years & Years. It's a very under-rated film and I recommend it to all the music lovers but not a music critic. As an Emily Fan, for all who's not aware who she is. Well, she's well-known for her role as Baby Doll in "Sucker Punch", Violet in "Series of Unfortunate Events", Hayley in a dark musical film "Plush", with Kit Harrington in "Pompeii" as Cassia, with Tom Hardy in "Legend" as Frances. She shortly appeared in the film "The Host" as Wanda. Cos of the musical film 'God Help The Girl' I became familiar with Olly. Then I saw this music video two years ago. Take Shelter is the first Years & Years song I've heard and to be honest I loved it cos of Emily Browning, and it sounded fresh to my ear. Todays music is very deafeningly flat for me, they sounded same to me. Take Shelter is a very refreshing genre. When I found out about Olly's sexuality I became more interested in his music. I think his truth added some depth to his lyrics. I'm straight though, but not narrow-minded. I don't really like the Idea of labeling them as gays. They are normal people like us, but with different perspective when it comes to love other than boy meets girl. They deserve respect just like everyone of us. Anyways, Years & Years has a captivating way with their electropop beat where you sync yourself with the lyrics. Believe me I've gone through a lot of music genres from Pop to Rock, Ballads, Country, Slow Rock, R&B, Alternative Rock, Reggae, and even K-pop. And I find Communion to be one of the best albums I've heard. As for music videos, King, Shine, and Eyes Shut are my favorites, Worship is probably the weirdest but Take Shelter remains to this day my number one.
