Cant wait to try it! 2 questions - do you cover the groats when soaking ? How do you store and how long can you store it ? Thank you !
@FreshisReal11 ай бұрын
Hi! You don't have to cover the groats when they are soaking. And I often loosely cover fresh bread for the first day then keep the rest in the fridge for up to 5 days. If you know you won't be able to consume the bread within a few days, I suggest slicing the rest and freezing it in a sealed container or reusable bad.

You have the most clear, brief and best tutorial on KZbin! Hey, why do we need to preheat 30 to 40min before baking? Thanks!
@FreshisReal8 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment; it means a lot to me. Preheating an oven for 30 minutes or even more will ensure that it reaches a nice, hot temperature for baking bread. This will, in turn, help any GF and egg-free (vegan) loaf rise as much as possible to create a lighter texture.

This is absolutely the best and most amazing bread recipe ! Absolutely fool proof. I have made it about 6 times over the past two weeks. My whole family loves it and keeps asking for more. I love the simple and healthy ingredients! I prefer to toast it - sooo good ! Now I just have to find somewhere to order bulk buckwheat !

Hi - is it possible to use something other than apple? What is the purpose of it? Is the pH of apple crucial to the bread rise? In cases where I need a little oopmpf to a bread, I have given up on apple sauce (it's not that good a fat replacement anyway) and my go to is canned, rinsed and drained cannellini beans that I mash with a fork and then strain the hulls away using whatever water belongs to the recipe. But with this recipe I was actually wondering about using carrots.

I saw a video one time using the same sort of recipe except they fermented the blended buckwheat groats for 12 hours and didn’t use baking powder. Thank you for your videos! I’m learning so much.

Hi Donna! Yes, fermented buckwheat is great! One could definitely ferment this simple bread mixture!

When the oven is pre-heating, is the batter in the oven? :)

No. The oven is empty when preheating.

Great recipe! I'm on my third try but it still didn't work out. I believe this it's due to two things I'd like to clarify, please. 1) What do you mean by: "2 cups (350 g)"? Is it 350g total? Or is it 350g each cup? So that would be 700g total? 2) According to my cup, 1 cup is 240g. So I need to add more so it would be 350? Thanks! :)
@FreshisReal5 ай бұрын
Go with the total of 350g. Weighing baking ingredients will always be more accurate compared to baking measuring cups as they can vary in sizes ;)

Does the bread taste sweet?
@FreshisReal2 жыл бұрын
Hi! I would say no! It's not like a quickbread. It's much closer to real bread so you don't taste any sweetness! Note that if you use a different kind of apple perhaps the overall sweetness level could differ. Let me know if you try the recipe!

Can we just use buckwheat flour? I don’t have grouts. -what would the portion be?

I haven't tried subbing the groats with light buckwheat flour, so I can't say for sure. I would have to try it!

@@FreshisReal how did it go? I think I heard that buckwheat flour has a lot stronger taste while groats are mild.

Is apple cumpolsory in this bread? I cant tolerate apple due to celiac disease please tell substitute for apple in this bread.

Hi! Can you tolerate pears or plums? I haven't tried, but I bet it could work similarly. Apples work in this recipe because of the pectin.

@@FreshisReal No I cant tolerate pears r plums. What is the purpose of apple in bread? Can I use baking soda in place of apple?

@@hinakhalid6661The fruit replaces the 'egg' in this vegan recipe. Fruit also helps create a soft and tender texture to the bread, like oil would. If you can tolerate bananas, this is a very similar recipe: www.freshisreal.com/healthy-5-ingredient-banana-bread-gf-v/

I have this in the oven now but honestly I don't hold out a lot of hope lol Is it really necessary to pre heat oven so long before you put the bread in the oven?
@FreshisReal2 жыл бұрын
Hi Nessa! How did it turn out? Preheating the oven for 30-45 minutes ensures that the oven is nice and hot to help bake an even better loaf of gluten-free and egg-free bread.

Preheat the oven for 35-40 min at 425F before baking ?? 😂😂😂
@FreshisReal Жыл бұрын
Yes. To make sure it's nice and hot. For baking bread, it's important. Especially for bread recipes that don't contain gluten.
