LOVE that you reacted to this whole tiny desk! i really loved how you were feeling the music - i'm so doing the same on my end lol. and i'm really glad to hear that, yeah, obviously yebba's vocals are the shit and we should all be blown away, but also that you're appreciating the other elements of the songs as well. there's so much talent in all the writing and arranging in this room! i really appreciate your reactions, and it really helps me feel connected/seen/not alone when i see someone else connecting to something in the same way i do. thank you! [guess i'm writing the longest comment ever, sorry!] then there's the actual messaging of it. she's so real and so earnest, sometimes really poetic, sometimes really blunt. i fell in love with yebba's music 2 years ago and i feel another 'yebba on repeat' phase coming on lol. i'd like to share something about 'all i ever wanted' that really made it even more beautiful for me - she said in an interview that the song was actually about her relationship with god, and the strain of passing in and out of faith through grief. all the "you"s in the song are god, and all the "her"s are her mother. it really deepened my experience of the song to listen to it again with that in mind; things like the idea of staying the night 'one more time' in god's presence... incredible. she really means what she says in her songs, and i think that makes them resonate in a special way even if i don't have a concrete way of understanding it. sincerity can be kinda hard to come by, and i'm grateful she's always bringing it. if you wanna do a yebba dive, i highly recommend going back to the start! you already heard "my mind," so i'd suggest watching "evergreen" (the beats 1/apple music version on youtube) for a next yebba hit. it's the first thing she released after my mind. that one has some serious story as well, and it's worth a listen no matter what! appreciate you!

I think you should check out Yebbas' live version of October Sky. It is another masterpiece, and her live versions of Paranoia purple and One more smile. 💜 Yebba is definitely one of my absolute favourite singers.

THANK YOU for reacting to the whole tiny concert and not just the first one or two songs. So many other reactors have done that and then never came back to the last couple of songs. Which is a shame because her songs hit DIFFERENT live... I almost always prefer her live versions. They feel like pure versions of the songs, as if thats how its supposed to sound. They be doing a little TOO much in the studio sometimes. Her live renditions are a little more stripped down and have so much more soul! You certainly have some more really great songs of hers to check out!
