Carti was publicly heavily inspired by Future going into Whole Lotta Red (and seemingly even more directly inspired by that album for his upcoming album MUSIC). It's dark, and really gives you a view into Future's world. It has some real depth to it too - you can actively see how other artists ran with his aesthetic but left the subtext of the record behind.
