The thing with Yelawolf's popularity is that he's just a true Musician .. a true Artist .. he essentially stopped doing interviews and when he does it's a gem .. he doesn't play ball with the industry hype machine .. I think that's actually what sets him apart and his Artistry may not appreciated until much later .. and it's what makes people think he's not as big as he should, but that's based on popularity, which ultimately doesn't mean anything .. but his music is TIMELESS .. and songs like "Have a Great Flight" could literally be considered as one of the most beautiful songs ever written .. and that doesn't even scratch the surface of his Art .. and he's been true to himself since literally day 1 .. you can go back to the earliest music, interviews or live performances and the story and message has never changed

I feel like over time, this 'Purple Datsun' track will be recognized as a true hip-hop classic. It's much deeper and more complex in it's flows and schemes; as they reluctantly drag the beat than even the keenest of hip-hop heads can initially decipher.
