I honestly don’t think Shady records knew exactly what to do with yelawolf because he is so unique. That first album under the label was just so pop sounding. Yela is best when he is just being himself whether he is singing or rapping. I like his independent stuff a lot more. Although, his last under Shady Trunk Music 3 was hard. I have to give props to Em because after Radioactive he gave yelawolf the space to experiment and find his sound.

Idk man Yelawolf is my favorite artist but I think Caskey killed this and the entire album. I love his rapping voice. I think they were equally good and it’s difficult to choose who did better. Caskeys schemes were too good and I think I slightly enjoyed what he had to say a little More than Yela this time. I feel like Caskey also gave this album a good amount of replay value with the way he delivers. Maybe I just relate more to what he said this album. I love his gritty “if you disrespect me I’ll fight you” style. It’s difficult to explain but I noticed I kept coming back to his parts to just jam to. I love that. It’s that radio X factor. Let’s not forget that Yela is my favorite artist and he destroyed every track on this as usual. He just keeps such a high bar for himself
