Here's my testimony... Alittle over 2 years ago my daughter then 7 showed me this song and video. She had no idea I was an addict at least not consciously. God broke me. I had nothing left inside me God used this song to wake me up. I'm over 2 years sober from meth. Before meth was pills and the methadone clinic. Craziest thing I only heard this song one maybe 2 times didn't know the artist didn't know song name and my daughter now 9 played it on the way home from school today and I felt God put it in my heart to share my testimony. We do recover. God can bring you back. He brought Jesus back from the dead and the same spirit that raised Him from the dead lives inside us. Anyways I pray for recovery for all addicts. The righteous suffer many afflictions but God delivers us from them all. God bless.

Goosebumps from head to toe. That was me in my early 20s. But I made a choice early to use the love of my kids as my strength to get clean..no rehab, just withdrawals on my couch begging for God's help. Here I am today, a mommy to four kids. A present mother who will walk through Hell's fire for my kids. A mother who teaches acceptance, morals, values, manners, love, compassion, sympathy, and most of all I teach them God's grace and their love saved me... Then, my now husband, came into our lives and we can both smile and say that the kids is what saved us from a life of addiction. They didn't choose to be here. We lead by example. Our future is bleek if the streets keep taking our youth because of addicted parents wanting the next hit instead of the next moment of memories.

There was a point in time that I was that kind of mom, but I found God again and I began to trust his plan and feel the strength of his presence in the form of a smile on my kid's face. For some it's just not that easy. I'll pray for your momma too. May she see that the gift God has given her is always a blessing and a miracle. Keep your head up, go far in life, and learn from her mistakes, but most importantly trust in God. When you accept him and keep him present in your life daily then you could move mountains. Believe me alcohol is NOT the way you want to go. My husband passed away June 21 2019 from alcohol and it was awful. At the end he was hallucinating and had no idea what was going on. He was only 47. Left me all alone with our 3 kids and one is only 9. Seems so unfair that we were straight up junkies for years. Finally got clean just to have him die from his other addiction

I've never realized how bad my situation is. My mom was addicted to drugs and chose drugs over me but I don't really care about it that much but that's probably because I've always known it. For people that are in the situation I used to be in, please strive for success nothing can stop you you've already faced so many hardships that nothing can come close to whatever you've already experienced and rather than using your situation as a crutch use it as motivation. My kids are what got my shit together. Was addicted to pain pills from 20 too33 years old. I had one overdose at 23 sadly that didn't stop me. My daughter was 12 years old at the time and come to me crying saying she didn't want me to die. My kid's saved me. I wanted to be better for them. So happy and blessed to be sober now!
