AzurenGamer I don't think Steven is able to get into the minds of shattered (pretty much dead) gems. The reason why he was able to speak with the Cluster was because it was a forced fusion, and we aren't even entirely sure how he was able to speak to it.

Thinking back to the thumbnail that Slice used for his Where's Pink Diamond video he did recently (yes I know it's fan art). What if he took over the body of pink and pink took over his for a short time. Steven freaking out seeing he's aboard the pink ship and then starts having pink pearl explain just how they got there (in song of course), while Pink is terrified being small and surrounded by the Crystal Gems. Maybe barking orders wile being locked in the bathroom (like Peridot).

at best I would say pink's personality is between Rose and amethyst, also for this to happen pink would have to be fully intact which would by itself cause confusion, also i'd imagine she'd put 2 and 2 together and use Rose's powers and bolt for the ship, now if blue or yellow accidently swapped bodies that would be a completely different story.

god like she may have been but even the diamonds are emotionally flawed beings and I'd think the cluster could be very terrifying and agitating in her eyes, and while it is true diamonds do seem different from gems that doesn't mean they are a different species(more accurately gem is the main name of the species with diamonds, quartz, corundum, beryl and others as families within the gem genus). The trailer image is most likely a flashback but if its pearl or garnet narrating it I will everything from said flashback with a grain of salt.

My theory is that White Diamond shattered Pink Diamond.And Yellow witnessed it. But White threatened to also shatter Blue if yellow said anything. Thats why Yellow doesn't want anyone to find out about the truth. She does't want Blue to know that she betrayed her by not saving Pink and lying. Yellow Diamond's behavior is something I personally see as how she bottles up her emotions and refuses to let anyone below or not close enough to her in. She wanted to rush along the trial before either of them lost it. She wanted to keep her "Strong woman" persona. I think that Yellow knows this, but she had little to no involvement in Pink's shattering. I think Blue was possessed by White Diamond, and Pink, not knowing this, steps out of her Palanquin to greet her. When Blue is finally out of White's grip, her [White] memory powers have altered the gems there, along with the crystal gems, to think Rose shattered Pink. Blue, gaining control of her conscious being, is in a Diamond authority building, when she gets the news. Pink's Pearl, who, in some way, had been gotten rid of by possibly Blue Pearl, escapes from the memory blast and is the only one, apart from Yellow, who knows the truth. When Blue finds this out... well... it's gonna go DOWN!

My theory: they don't know who did it and Yellow Diamond just needs someone to blame, a "fall guy" if you will, that they can take out their grief on and be all like "there we dealt with it, now we can move on". I think you're right about Yellow shifting the blame to Rose Quartz but just not away from herself, more like she needed a way to rationalize Pink's shattering and blaming someone who COULD have done it if they wanted to is her way of doing that. as someone who isn't super invested in the series, but have a lot of free time to just think, I've come up with what I think actually happened. Yellow shattered Pink, but I think I have come to a completely different reason as to why, jealousy. One of your earlier theory based on the motifs of the diamonds made you think Pink came from a kinder garden of some sort, how would yellow a proud gem who had been around for assumed millennia being in what seems like a relationship with blue, both made by white. Home world doesn't like change you've said so many times yourself, suddenly a off color diamond shows up and captures her supposed lovers affection? so she shatters pink, acts all heart broken whilst systematically removing all evidence pointing to her while pushing blame on a rebel gem. but that''s just my theory.

Blue wants answers and so does Steven. What if Steven found a diamond communicator and continued the trial but only with Blue. Him trying to explain his existence and his world and asking about home world. Sorta like the way Peridot and Steven worked together to uncover the cluster. Maybe Blue brings up Pinks ship and Steven investigates it. At night when Steven sleeps he could play some nature documentary like planet earth on a laptop in front of the communicator to show the changes in animals that Rose fell in love with. Now home world gems and the crystals gems don't give out classified info easily and Steven would also need to be careful with any details he releases too. Like how he and the gems broke into the human zoo and took the human that she just put there. At any given moment Blue could detonate the communicator if she was offended which happens rather easily to home world gems. Garnet saw that if she followed Steven to the palanquin and if she was seen she would be shattered by Blue on the spot. Keeping info like Garnets survival of the war and maybe the exact number of gems on earth secret would be very important and I am sure there are some secrets that Blue has that she doesn't want out. Era 2 gems like Peridot,Zircon don't seem to know much about the Crystal Gems or Pinks shattering so there are probably many other secrets that are kept from the masses that she wouldn't want the rebel leader Rose Quartz shaped as a boy leaking to the stars. Though as cool as that sounds I think that Steven would need someone smarter than him like Connie, to help not leek info ask counter questions and be a lawyer. Maybe Ronaldo could help with investigation? That could give him something to do.

If Yellow is in fact keeping secrets from Blue, and because the truth about Rose and Pink Diamond half to come out at some point, Blue's feelings of betrayal toward Yellow would escalate to a very strong (and probably unstable) emotion induction in all gems within a large radius; Yellow may or may not try to fight back, but she will certainly defend her own actions in swearing secrecy, and as the tensions keep rising between Yellow and Blue, just before a breaking point (ha) I believe THAT is when White Diamond will make an appearance.

The truth about what really happened could destroy everything the diamonds work for in the universe. If the truth gets out everyone will become enemy's. I really do want to see how yellow handles herself as more of the truth is shown.

I think the Reason for Yellow's behavior is because of the way she grieves, but I'm not convinced she knows any more about Pink's shattering than Blue. If anything, I think she knows even less. Yellow hates to hear or see anything related to Pink. Not because she's guilty, but because it reminds her of what she's lost(Pink Diamond).

These theories are well thought out, but im still wondering that if this was the case... 1: why would rose quartz have herself to blame 2: witnesses say they say rose instead of yellow diamond and 3: why would the crystal gems still say that rose quartz shattered pink diamond?
