The more I hear theories the more I'm becoming convinced of one particular theory. That Rose had actually been trying to talk Pink Diamond into abandoning the Earth colony. And that Pink listening to her and being willing to meet with Rose is ultimately what got her killed. Which of course introduces another thought. We know gems of the same type look similar. I wonder how many people could tell if the Rebel Rose Quartz and a still-loyal rose-quartz were put in the same room, with the same clothes......

This actually narrows down to Pink Diamond as the one who has the authority to do so and cover it all up. There was no way that Rose Quartz could have known that Pink Diamond's attendants were absent unless she was told by someone within the court and like what Zircon have said; only a Diamond could have done it and the only Diamond around was Pink Diamond.

At the same time Zircon pointed that only someone with the supreme authority could have cover it up. This narrows down to the only one Diamond present at the scene of the crime and that is Pink Diamond.

I don't think its possible to bring back shattered gems. If that were the case, the CG wouldn't view shattering as such a tragic end. Healing cracked Gems is like healing a severe but non-mortal wound. Shattering is depicted as "Death" for gems and there's probably no coming back from that.

TalesOfFan . But shattering is not exactly death, just you in a bunch of pieces wishing to form again. To everyone else you're dead but to Steven, you're crying out (not the cluster at the time since they have each other). Lets say somehow Steven found a ruby in the cluster. The voices match, he puts them together and heals the cracks. I believe they could reform, think of how bad amethyst, lapis and eyeball was. Being broken for that long though.. I'm not sure how the fabric of their mind would be.

The Crystal Gems seem to treat shattering as a some sort of "end", Peridot even says there's no helping them, as they'll never be whole again. Besides I highly doubt they'd be able to find all the pieces of a shattered gem. If being shattered was capable of being healed, I'm sure back when Rose Quartz was around they probably would've had a few missions dedicated to try to look for shattered gems of their fallen allies and friends, and in turn would've mentioned this to Steven. But who knows, Steven was able to partially heal corruption better than Rose, as the Crystal gems said it was the best they've seen it work at the time. Maybe he'd be able to help shattered gems too assuming he found all the shards but i doubt it.

i have a theory? Most likely Pink Diamond was in charge of the progess of turning earth into a homeworld, since Rose, Jasper, and Amethyst all were formed in the kindergarten on earth. So what im wondering is, what if she got a soft spot for Earth after seeing the damage they were causing, sort of like Peridot did. And by the time Rose went to confront her, Pink Diamond shattered herself?! A Diamond suicide? knowing very well that if she was to tell the other 2(3?) about her newfound love for our planet she would be imprisoned or worse. SO she swore her court to secrecy and hid her pearl, so that there would be no evidence, and Rose, being the sweethart she is, staged it and went back and told the gems the false info just to hide suspicion. ANOTHER THEORY: Pink diamond and her Pearl are in hiding and the only person who knew about the whereabouts were Rose, who took the secret to the grave, or in this case, to the gem (LOL XD) and possibly Lion????

The first theory wouldn't make sense because that would too much of a coincident for Rose to appear at the exact same time and place when that happened. The third is a bit of a stretch because Pink Pearl wouldn't have been part of the conspiracy if she wasn't with her at the time than with Pink's entourage. But for the second theory it makes a lot of sense because Rose hid a lot of secrets on how she got pass security and knew that Pink Diamond was alone without her entourage unless Pink had informed her.

I hate to say it, but that theory has more holes than swiss cheese. Firstly, why does like 99.9% of this fandom assume Pink Diamond MUST have loved Earth and died to protect it? Because one group of gems happen to have friendly personalities? Apparently no one wants to mention that kidnapping humans and putting them in a zoo is bad (and conveniently forget that the Zoomans we see in the zoo NOW are NOT the ones from 5,000+ years ago, so just because THEY'RE happy doesn't mean their ancestors were). AND it was a HW rebellion - this did not start during Yellow or Blue or even White Diamond's bids on conquering planets. This started because of PINK DIAMOND. One rose quartz and a handful of amethysts do not make up a whole court of gems. And it's been stated that our Rose Quartz was an anomaly within her own gem set - she could heal. NO other Rose Quartz could do that, meaning Rose was most likely DEFECTIVE in HW eyes. Her love for humans probably didn't her favors either.

+Regina Woodard, Pink Diamond against three Diamonds wouldn't be the most best technical method because they would overpower her and then hollow out the Earth by themselves. I don't think the Off Colors are PD gems, or Morganite. Because the Zoo was said to preserve "All of Pink Diamonds things" and BLUE DIAMOND said "This is all we have left of her" when talking about the zoo, meaning the famethyst and the bubbled Rose's. Which means Morganite and the Off Colors would have been sent to the zoo. Same goes for Pinks Agates and Sapphires which is why I think they're all wiped out. Jasper is probably the only Earth and Pink Diamond gem allowed back on Homeworld because of her being an ultimate super soldier. Also because I think deep down, Yellow too wanted to take something that belonged to Pink to remember her by...so she chose her best gem, Jasper. It is unknown if Blue Diamond even knows that Yellow took her because she should ideally be at the zoo with the rest of the Earth Quartzes.

Skinny Jasper Well, considering that the Off Colors have been hiding in Homeworld to avoid being shattered, I don't think the Diamonds know where they are and simply forgot about them/didn't care enough to take them to the Zoo and preserve part of PD's legacy. After all, they're defective and disgusting in Homeworld's eyes, so it's unlikely that the Diamonds would WANT them to be part of the zoo, no matter how special they were to PD. Yes, Skinny and Carnelian are defective, but it's just that they were from the Beta Kindergarten and they're still useful (at least in the sense of guarding the zoo). Unlike those two, the Off Colors have been hiding all their lives and can't really do their jobs correctly/are fusions (aside from the Rutile twins, who supposedly only have a form defect and can do things just fine, however they were most likely not admitted into the zoo considering all the other Rutiles ran away from them and they're seen as scary).

Come on guys, Rhodonite's pearl is NOT Pink Pearl! This is because of gem placement. Pink Diamond had her gem on her navel, as seen from the murals in the moon base, and as a Diamond's Pearl also shares the same gem placement with her Diamond as we've seen so far, I think it's safe to say that Pink Pearl also has her gem on the navel. According to this, Rhodonite's Pearl can NOT be Pink Pearl, because Rhodonite has the Pearl gem on her chest, so that's of course because of the Pearl that's fused with the Ruby.

Probably not an original idea but what if White Diamond was actually a fusion of the other three diamonds, not an entity unto herself. This would mean that they had a close relationship, maybe even more-so than we have been led to believe. With three gems in such a close relationship, issues could have easily shown up. Let's say that Pink Diamond loves everyone equally because she is obviously quite caring compared to the others. Blue Diamond is closer to her because of her gentle, or at least gentler nature, and Yellow Diamond is jealous of how much attention Blue Diamond gives to Pink. Perhaps Pink Diamond did lead a revolution or was had at least decided that she wanted to protect earth. Yellow obviously would disagree because of her militant mindset and very traditionalist stance; between this and the jealousy, and maybe something else, she decides that she confronts Pink and something goes down that causes Yellow to shatter Pink...maybe she loses her temper or something. Now obviously Yellow would want to destroy any evidence that was left, which is why she is so bent on her weapon and destroying the earth...effectively destroying anything that might point at her. Don't know, just a though.

Personally I think White Diamond shattered Pink Diamond, wanting to have shattered her before because she's "off-color". But not being able to because the rest of Homeworld and the other diamonds all loved her. Not off color simply for being pink (as many theories say she may have been intended to be red.) But we know from the off colors on Homeworld that off-color is a blanket term used for any "wrong" gem. Though because of the rebellion, White Diamond had cover to shatter Pink Diamond. Giving her court an altamadem (I know I spelled that wrong) to either say Rose Quartz did it, or be marked as fugitives and have no way to return home. After Pink Pearl made her false witness report, along with the other gems that agreed, White hid them away. And of course any of the court members who refused where corrupted. But this is just my theory on what happened, and probably won't be what actually happened. XD

I believe pink pearl is kept watched and lives in fear as the diamonds other than blue directly in a way threatened her. As you said she must know what really happened so the diamonds threatened to have her shattered if she spoke the truth. I think she will be very kind but quiet as most pearls are but a dreamer. Dreaming of being like our pearl, free. Therefore I think she would be very reluctant to help the crystal gems because of the diamonds threats but eventually come around once she realizes the life she could have looking up to our pearl as a role model. But this is just me speculating. :)

What if Pink Diamond was never shattered? What if she faked her own shattering? What if she asked her pearl to poof and bubble her and to run away to safety? Just a theory since blue zircon said that the her shattering is a homeworld rumour. And also because her shattered pieces were never seen bubbled, which is highly dangerous knowing that shattered pieces are quite crazy.

Hm, I'm gonna have to think on this some more. I assumed there was a bigger group of pink diamond's court somewhere but it would make more sense to separate them. I wonder if they were left intentionally on earth when the diamond attack happened so they would be corrupted, getting rid of the evidence. And that would be why some of homeworld's other forces couldn't be given more time to escape? Food for thought

We don't know much about her personality to know what kind of gem is she and there is no telling about how many gems felt about her. There were few off colors like Skinny and Carnelian but they are probably kept out of preservation like the Human Zoo and the other Rose Quartzes. But there is also Peridot who is sort of off colored but was kept by Yellow Diamond.

Mmm, no. Sorry but, no. Pearl was originally White Diamonds, because as we have seen, Blue and Yellow Pearl have their gems on their chest, just like Blue and Yellow Diamond, their owners. Whites gem is located on her forehead, (as seen in the moon temple paintings) just like Pearls. And, Pearls is very white, but, her color pallet is very colorful. In which case, she could be a rainbow colored Pearl, but it had been bleaches (go look up bleaching process of a pearl) That would explain why when she fused with Amethyst, they formed Opal, a very colorful gem, and when with Rose, we got Rainbow Quartz, another very colorful gem. But, White Diamond didn't like Pearl, because she was so colorful, and did not belong, therefore, throwing her away. Rose Quartz might have found Pearl, or Pink Diamond could have heard that White Diamond was going to throw away Pearl, and saying she would be happy to take her instead. So, White Diamond gave Pearl to Pink Diamond. Pink then didn't want Pearl to feel unwanted, so she asked of her Pearl to fuse to hide. Her Pearl then did so, and our Pearl became Pink Diamonds "Pearl." Note: I found this on the internet and then changed it to fit my own theories too.

I think p. pearl is going to be a stoic character. seeing the person that you were to care for would cause her to become distant from the other pearls. (If she's not in holding from the Diamond Authority) either that, or she could have self induced amnesia, causing her to become child like as a copping mechanism from the experience. the gems has shown signs of having the same psychological mind sets as human. pearl has issues with jealousy and grief, amethyst has shown signs of an inferiority complex, and garnet is just awesome. (not a complex for garnet, just a observation.) so it's fair to assume that even on homeworld , gems would go through the same process as a human would when seeing the person that you are devoted to get murdered in front of your eyes. sorry for the long comment, just some thoughts that I had.

I think pink pearl is going to be a character who portrays emotions similar to one who has PTSD. Very shy, quiet, and easy to terrify. It will taken Stevens calm and welcoming nature to calm her down and talk to her about what happened. While of course seeing the crystal gems would freak her out.

i think that the chest holds another key and a map. if you scroll down (or up) to Sanighia Jones, they have the idea that Pink Pearl and/or Pink Diamond may be hiding somewhere. If this were the case, it would make sense that the chest in Lions mane would hold a key and a map. A map to lead where their gems are bubbled or where they are hiding and a key to unlock it. Just a thought 😉

Because you mentioned that the pink diamond shattering and the 'destruction of earth' topics being rumors on homeworld, and that all of pink diamond's court were dispersed without memories or the ability to recall the shattering, that definitely has to be the deal with pearl. Whenever pink diamond is affiliated with a conversation concerning pearl, she is FORCED by her OWN HAND to not speak. I think this is what happened to all of former pink diamond serving gems now on homeworld. Maybe the purpose of this was to not let the existing homeworld gems know that a regular gem successfully revolted against a diamond and shattered her. If any gems with the same capability and strength as rose quartz because self aware, the hierarchy would be over thrown and the diamonds wouldn't have control.

I personally believe that Yellow Diamond shattered Pink Diamond. I just re-watched the trial and it seems to provide some subtle evidence for this theory. Like when Steven's lawyer (sorry, I forgot the name) accuses the diamonds for shattering Pink, Blue Diamond looks shocked, but Yellow Diamond gets extremely defensive. She wanted to destroy all the gems in Pink Diamond's zoo. Maybe because some of them could testify against her. She also said that Pink's court was there and they saw everything, but no one knows what happened. This makes me believe that she was telling the truth about Pink's court, but she has either hidden them away or shattered them to preserve her innocence, hence why we never see them. Yes this theory has flaws, and someone else has probably already said all of this, but I just created this theory and I'm going to stay proud of it until I find someone else who came up with it before me.

I have a crazy idea which could be so crazy, it just might be true: After Pink was shattered, her shards were collected for an experiment to resurrect and create a better Pink Diamond. But it went wrong and Pink Diamond became Black Diamond, a Diamond with the ability to spawn minions out of lifeless object by turning them into shadowy zombies, and amnesia with who she's supposed to be. And then she's constant having visions of her time as PD, which will lead to her aliening with the Crystal Gems for answers

I think pink pearl would obviously have an important role into moving the plot along, leading to the events of what happened the day pink diamond was shattered. But it's probably going to take pink pearl a lot of time to cooperate with telling what happened and where she was, given the fact that her diamond was shattered. All or most pearls are loyal to their owners, or so it seems, and that means that pink pearl would probably be emotionally distant or mentally absent because she must've been close with her diamond after being with her for so long.
