Really, really glad that they're saving and restoring these older machines.

I have a photo that my dad took of this car at Surfers Paradise raceway, Australia from 1966. This was the first time the Americans had come to Australia and the opening event for the raceway. I had Mum get the pic blown up as a poster for my wall.

I saw it at Castlereagh Dragway in western Sydney that same tour.. what was not mentioned is that it was metalflake yellow and it sparkled especially at night.. unfortunately it was pushed down the strip and back up again as she wouldn't fire up ( electrical issue) I believe... fabulous sight though 😀🦘🦘

I saw the car along with Tony Nancy's Wedge run at San Fernando. They made a impression and fueled my fascination with the Southern California car culture.

Ed “Big Daddy" Roth was the king of custom cars in the 60’s. The Yellow Fang is just one of many cars he created that have been the inspiration for future custom car builders…

Another car caught my eye, to me it seemed very strange and yet very appealing. I will create a video about it soon

I went to a local vintage drag day. It is hard to believe the driver had sat between the wheels with the differential between his legs.

looking at the photo of it launching, you can see that the rears havent deformed very much. when did they go to the big wrinkle wall rear tires that expand in diameter by some 50%? im thinking early 70s but i never really followed all of the racers so i dont know when that happened

Does anybody remember the Cortopassi Brothers "Glass Slipper" ? It was also a fully enclosed streamlined dragster. The Yellow Fang was also a very cool machine. The Glass Slipper was done 10 years earlier, 1954 if I remember correctly.
