Oh man, there are so many moments in this that are just FIRE! The dissonant background harmonies towards the beginning are so incredible. Also, it’s a little thing, but in the chorus when Marwan takes lead, I absolutely love that is Egyptian accent comes through a little when he says “My name.” I lived in Egypt for a year and I have a very soft spot in my heart for Egyptian Arabic and Egyptian accents when speaking English, and Marwan has such a slight accent for the most part, but in that one line for some reason it gives me good feels. Tomi’s run towards the end is just incredible, and Peter’s belt is crazy!!! I also absolutely love Colm’s choice on his first lead chorus on “this is the start” with the slight nuance to the melody. And Bobby’s first line in the beginning, the resonance in his voice is everything. And the “shivers” line is so good! So good!!!! This is my favorite Bass Gang cover yet, and that’s saying something!!!

I love there are so many things going on in the background but you manage to keep them more subtle so it doesn't overpowered the leads BIGGEST PROPS AND KUDOS to Nicole Waters for this incredible editing, literal FIREEE 🔥🔥🔥🔥 The combination of the arrangement, voices, looks, and editing here all combined to one, make this piece feels more Fiery than the original tbh. Very well done guys! I admit I made myself pretend the teaser wasn't there when I saw Colm front and center on it, because I wanted to hear it the first time in full, in it's final released form. LOL. It did NOT disappoint! Not one bit. Gorgeous cover. I'm not familiar with the original song (I'll look it up later today), but the arrangement on this was awesome. I love the drop-outs of the background voices and sounds. Colm blends in with the four of you so well that it's easy to forget he was a guest vocalist, and not actually an official member of the group! LOL You all did a wonderful job here. this might be my favorite Bass gang cover things I like about it are 1: how well you can hear Tomi during the Chorus and duets and when you all are singing together Tomi's voice is the one who is the louder and clearer one 2: Colm's and Tomi's voices compliment each other beautifully same with Peter and Tomi 3: 1:20-2:01 the Chorus is so damn catchy and makes you want to dance the beat, the vibe and everything I love about the Chorus 4: Tomi's voice starts to sound like young Geoff mixed with Avi even Tim 2:30 it sounds like you Tomi have a country accent here it doesn't really sound like your normal accent (I know learning other languages are hard im from Finland I can keep a English conversation going for long time but I struggle with more complex words) the Czech accent slips when you sing "they used Shout (the accent is on the Shout) my name" like Mortius mentioned in his analysis of this list of my favorite songs from you My boys 1: Yellow flicker beat + hide and seek sharing number 1 2: the whole Vol 3 album 3: Bones and Skull and Cross bones sharing number 3 4: Emperor's new clothes 5: the Billie Eilish songs of Col 1 6: Centuries 7: we don't talk about Bruno only two Bass gang members that I watch solo stuff are Tomi and Bobby my favorite Tomi songs are 1: Hellfire and Lullaby of woe sharing number 1 2: sound of silence and unholy and jericho sharing number 2 3: Mary did you know and Burn butcher burn and the Avi Kaplan medley sharing number 3 4: overwhelmed 5: Lion (not actually rating in any way just the number 1 spots are just the ones I love or left a big impact on me the most)
