Yes they do pollinate but not to where it'll make an impact of there gone do they have a major role preying on pest insects but nowhere near as important as honey bees

I was thinking and I wondered if you could put "danger" pheromones on the end of your vacuum so that hornets instinctively go to attack it and you can leave it in a corner and do your job. The biggest problem I could see is that the vacuum might suck in the pheromones rendering the strategy ineffective, but I think it might be worth trying

Removed a MEGA NEST from my backyard last weekend here in Maryland. Underground nest about the size of a car wheel and tire, it’s the biggest nest I’ve had around here in a long, long time. Took the larvae to my buddy’s chickens and they ate them right up. Nothing like destroying a nest and offering healthy nutrition for the eggs I’ll pick up next weekend
