I love Yellow, but I wish we got more personal time with Omastar & Graveler, whom felt like they had no personality.

But at the same time that's a problem I feel like that's a problem with the Pokedex Holders teams in general. The starters get more screen time then the other teams members not giving a balance. For example, Poli was Red's strongest until Saur, Pika, and the others came in to do more work leading him to become the Yamcha/Krillin of the team. You hate to see it.

@@stephvondames6369it’s a sad consequence of effectively having a large cast of characters. When you have 6 pokemon on top of all the trainers it is inevitable that some will get less screen time than others. This is probably the reason some of the later arcs end up with fewer pokemon for the majority of their run e.g. Diamond, Pearl, Platinum had only two pokemon each for the majority of their initial run, only gaining the remaining members in the last couple of issues.

I really liked Yellow's story, and how she connects with them on a deep emotional level and even boosts their strength. I think she's a cool manga original.

3:31 Kitty comes from Caterpie. Yellow's naming scheme is to take the start of the name and add "y" to the end, hence Ratty, Omny, Gravy, and Dody. In the original Japanese this would have been the suffix "chan" which tends to be a cutesy term of endearment. Caterpie could have been called Catty, but by the same token Kitty is more cutesy and means the same thing, hence Kitty. The names are based on their forms when captured rather than their final forms, as yellow didn’t know about evolution/didn’t want them to evolve.

MY Thoughts on Yellow’s Team: -Back then, like so many Ash’s WAS MY Fave Butterfree…BUT He became MY #2 when I read about “Kitty” in Special manga ESPECIALLY in The Battle against Lance THUS becoming MY #1 Fave Butterfree. Can You imagine if Yellow could G-Max it?🦋 -“Chuchu” is MY #3 Fave Pikachu in all of Pokemon⚡️ -The way she rides “Dody” is so awesome as She rides on Him like a Cowboy on A Horse🤠🐎 Would be even crazier if Dodrio could Fly (as in Samurai Jack’s case: “Jump Good”) like Falkner’s Dodrio in the anime🪽 -From what I’ve watched, Yellow’s is definitely One of The Difficult DexHolder Teams to raise in a Kanto Playthrough (cept for Let’s Go) ⚡️⚪️🪽🪨💧🪲 ALSO “Omny” alias “Lord Helix” would be The MVP of This Team💧
