I imagine the reason why Wally wasn't named Emerald was simply because you couldn't name him in the games themselves like you could with Blue, Silver and even Barry. There's no precedent for him to be named anything else, so we got the short gremlin we know and... love? Live with? Also as a Fennekin fan, the Manga did us dirty. At least we have the anime to give us all of our Fennekin moments, good thing the Kalos anime was one of the best.

I'm forever grateful that you made this series covering all Pokemon adventure arcs. This arc in particular was actually the first manga and Pokemon Material I've ever touched when I was a kid and since then I've always be hooked on this series. I wish someday Nintendo does a full anime adaptation of this manga as clearly fans love the books.
