Decided to head out to Cairn Curran for a fish for Yellowbelly/Golden Perch. We had a great day out boat fishing and landed quite a few Yellowbelly, Carp and Redfin Perch. Using worms, yabbies and lures they all seemed to work well.

Mate that was sensational. Les is a LEGEND."Fillets?" Haha He reminds me of my dad. LOL "It's a bloody keeper alright". One thing I'm looking.forwsrd to about getting old, is being an old legend like Les and my dad. Haha

Haha. I would say you are legend now Robbie and many would say you are old too. 😂 I feel old a lot more these days too 😂

Was out there two weeks ago and still had blue green algae, warnings have been there since early February, let's hope none were destined for the table

Advice in the past is you could not keep fish from blue green algae waters, but I think that has changed now and they say it is safe. I still don’t like to keep any fish though

Nice 👍. It seems to be the spot to target yellowbelly. I have only recently started fishing there and surprised at how good it is. Have you fished there much?

@@brentonclarke yeah mate I love fishing there I go a fair bit. Couple of fellas told me at the boat ramp it’s been super quiet not much happening but I seem to clean up on the yellowbelly when I go but no big ones yet.

What ramp did you launch at ?

Did well mate. I went out there not long after your last vid, did a bit up that end and trolled the shit out of the timber down the other end and never got a touch!

Yeah I had a day like that out there the other day too. Trolled all morning for nothing and caught 1 small yella on bait so no video. I guess I need Les or my son out as lucky charms. Either that or they are better fisherman than me 😝

Only the 2nd time I have ever fished there and have caught more yellas here than 5+ years of fishing Eppalock

Which boat ramp do you use? Never been to cairn curran

I prefer the Whitlocks Rd boat ramp (Woodshed Bay South ramp). I have a recent video of that ramp if you check out my other videos

Yes it was a lot of fun and good to see my son out and about having a good time. Although the pressure is now on to keep the fishing just as good
