This wasnt a big mess for me. I defeated yellow brow first phase in 1 try, makau chief in 1 try and yellow brow last phase in 4 attempt. I used multiple cloud step, 3 focus charge hit.... and keep dodging untill cloud step is on again. this pretty much works on all bosses if you learn the right way. Just have maximum mana, and cooldown reduction for cloud steps and you will be sorted.

I think the strategy is amazing and I'm trying it. I just can't get my charge to charge fast enough and I run out of mana. So I'm interested to know if I need to farm more levels. Got a subscriber here from this video! Thanks!

Not sure if it was luck, but I cloud stepped right as he was doing that unavoidable attack and it didn't hit me. I got in some decent hits in from that.. Anyway, the little extra damage from the powered up thrust attack when he does the electric ring, after going into cloud step, was all I needed to put him down. Great video dude 👍

Yellowbrow has definitely been the least enjoyable boss so far. What the hell man, so many fases and not a single one is fun. Especially that last part is just boring and annoying time waste mechanics. If it didn't have all those dumb mechanics and was just a fight with a nice moveset it'd have been 1000x better.; I'll add this in the edit, the fucking most annoying thing of all is him swinging has ball around and if you get unlucky in his swing he can stunlock 100-0 you. That stupid ball swinging has killed me more than anything else. The it does damage in every position, even in recovery animation of the ball, he leaps 20x farther than you'd think and even without stunlock, it kills in 3 hits.

Really useful. I am on the 3 phase of the fight, did not know I could step out to the shine and back to finish it, question is if I finish it does it locks me out of any quests from chapter 3? I have not visited the cell in the Pagoda since I left also have couple of bosses to get and also the fox quest; will it be all there if I best this final chapter 3 boss?

I demonstrate and explain this at 5:00 - you can use your Incense Trail Talisman.

@@Chris-oq6knGo to your inventory, use the talisman and you will be transported to your last shrine, reckon it is the one before you enter the temple for this fight, from there you can do whatever you want or need before you finish the fight, when you enter the temple again you will appear in the hallway right before the third and last phase of the fight, I am assuming you fought yellowbrow then beaten the monkey then where at the check point between the second and third phase; if you finish the fight you end chapter 3, I am not sure if you lose any quests or if you can go back to finish any previous task, I have not finish it yet myself, will be playing some time tonight

I defeated the first phase and got to the second phase, but then I died and when I came back I have to repeat the first phase again. why? I thought it locked in my progres. edit: I died right at the very end of my fight with the second phase the first time around and I guess the boss died as I died and when I respond, I was actually coming to phase 3, which I didn't even know existed at the time, and thinking I was respawning back to phase one again. I just defeated phase 3, thinking it was phase one, the story progressed. weird stuff lol

this boss is the most inconsistent boss in soulslike game history. I've used the same strat over and over (guaranteed 3rd phase 80% time) and I'm noticing now half the time im doing it he's breaking into gold mode sooner than usual. he's going gold mode more often, and my focus meter travels up more slowly on my later attempts, immobilze meter goes based off melee attacks yet when I'm on my second charge it literally just stops sometimes. this boss fight has changed me opinion on this game drastically. honestly just terribly designed

Depends on what input you're using, but it's the D Pad on controller for me. 3 focus charged attacks are from holding down the heavy attack button

Well im catching up in the game as i work. They must have improved this boss as the first smash stance etc doesn't hit him enough to reduce his health to go to phase 2. Thats the advantage of just playing these games to reach the end as soon as its released and getting it over before the devs make changes...guess i need to live my mothers basement grow fat and play games all day to compete
