I've been a Yellowcard fan for more than 20 years, started listening to them as a teenager, and they became my favorite band; however, I couldn't relate to most of the songs, because I was just a kid who knew nothing about life, I liked them for the energy and the Pop-Punk influence over me. The years passed by, they disbanded, and I moved to different things, to other kind of music (especially enjoying Ryan's solo work, excellent music for those who don't know about it), and now, as a grown up, they released a song whose lyrics hit straight to my heart in a way that I can only explain with this melody. "All the missteps I made left my heart with a mark, mission, brand, and a scar; now that age is a number indeed maybe this time I’ll dream thinking free". The whole song, but this part especially, tells us about them, about us, and how we used to see the world from a naive and immature perspective; pain and love were bigger, but with the lessons in life, learnt through mistakes and letdowns, we became stronger, and more stable, and yet we understood that life is not about big events and great achievements, but the small things that bring us happiness, like a new record from the band who once gave me memories I could never forget. Thank you, Yellowcard, for being a friend, a teacher, and a big brother for more than half of my life; this is nothing I can repay, but I hope these words can express what many people think, you made an impact in our lives.

Im about to be 20 and i like this band and remember hearing one of their songs on burnout 3 and now im exploring a bunch of old bands like yellowcard, sugarcult, and rise against and i love this type of music and i didnt know rise against and yellowcard still make music 😅

I'm never gonna forget this. I've been listening to yellowcard Since I was 10 so i definitely grew up on them. I then found out about pierce the veil in my late teens.
