Hey guys, I'm a huge french fan of Yellowcard since many years and I would like to say one thing about this single. I understand peoples who are worried about the next record after hearing this song. In my opinion, this "pop-song" is only ONE song among 13, and it's a choice in order to boost the record's sales. Don't you think ? Remember you with 'Here I Am Alive". It was just one pop song, a single, and the others songs was very amazing. Since Yellowcard exist, they always do there own music and they never disapoint me. So, don't worry everybody :) !

I've been a Yellowcard fan for ten years now. I must say that i have never been disappointed with anything they have came out with. Sure they have had some misses but, regardless i love what they do and how they do it. I dont think I'll ever stop loving them. This is a sweet song towards Ryan's wife and how much he loves her..... So romantic..

Andrew Almond If you look at the Spotify list he compiled from songs that inspired Lift A Sail, Coldplay is there. :) Coldplay's Parachutes was amazing, but after that they just sold out and made music that was popular, not music they wanted to make themselves. I really lost all faith in them after Viva la Vida, which didn't sound lile Coldplay at all. I really dig this new Yellowcard song, it's the old Coldplay combined with the new Yellowcard. :D

To people who are scared about the rest of this record. The band did mention that is album will not be punk but will rather be anthem,ballad-like rock. The rest of this record is great! Trust me, Yellowcard may have done something different for one song or the whole album, but it's still a rock album you can jam to like in every other YC album! This album will sell Yellowcard millions of records with the diversity of sound and style. I've been a YC fan for 11 years and this new record does not disappoint!

I've commented on this video like twice already lol but i seriously can't stand people who complain about everything. If you're an old school Yellowcard fan, then fucking go listen to Ocean Avenue and One For the Kids or something and quit bitching. Seriously like apparently we live in a world where once a band changes their style a bit and they try something new FOR their fans, its apparently a fucking sin or some shit. Don't get me wrong i loved their older albums, Ocean Avenue, Lights and Sounds, Paper Walls etc were AMAZING ALBUMS! So was their newer records like WYTTSY and Southern Air. These bands do so much for their fans and they come back to the same places to play for their fans. And then they look at the feedback and they hear "What happened to you guys?" or "This isn't the same Yellowcard" ----> OF COURSE NOT!!! THATS WHY THEY WANTED TO TRY SOMETHING NEW! OF COURSE THEY ARENT THE SAME! YOU CAN'T SURVIVE IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY WITHOUT TAKING A RISK EVERY NOW AND THEN! SOOOOO.....My point is (to put it nicely....) Maybe appreciate all the things you get from these bands. Because they wont be around forever and you should at least give them credit for busting their asses to make new music for their fans. I'm gonna be honest, i'm a massive massive Yellowcard fan. However, the three songs I have listened to just don't give me the same feeling as their previous albums. I completely understand that they are only three songs out of a whole album but still can't shake the feeling disappointment or help but wonder what happened to the "punk" side of these songs. On a more positive note, I still can't wait to hear the rest of their album, and I respect them trying a new sound much like with lights and sounds!

I don't understand all the bitching. Have you guys not heard hang you up, one year six months, two weeks from twenty etc. ? This is a song like that. If you noticed a pattern in their album. They have usually either one song border lining punk pop, and one punk alternative. It's one song. Let the album come out. Transmission home is super awesome and make me so sounds a bit like here i am alive. Regardless to say i have been a dying hard fan since 2003 and will stay one for life. This band and their efforts regardless of all the changes is something I really appreciate. These guys are heroes. Their lyrics are gold. I have seen them live many times and flew out to see them. The reason for my dedication is their dedication. I get its a bit different but you all need to understand the older songs are still out there. Give something new a try. They said their album is different. Keep an open mind.
