That flying fish kite technique is something I developed about 10 years ago and it's kind of nice to see a lot of other people using it

Using flying fish on the kite has actually been around since the 40s when Zane Grey was doing it back in Catalina island for bluefin tuna. I myself have been using flying fish on kite my boat since I moved to cabo back in 2008 and I learned it from the long range Sportfishing fleet way back in the late 90’s

@@skullhart Back in the mid to late 90's we used to catch live flying fish at clarion and staple the wings open to a paper plate and freeze them. We would then take off the paper plate and fly the frozen flying fish on a kite. It would get whacked hard. This was before the rubber flying fish had come out. It was funny how the tuna would hit a frozen solid bait. It usually got the bigger fish at the island

Wow!! This was an EPIC TRIP!! They got both fishes on my bucket list. Marlin and a cow. We gonna be in Cabo in a week and a half. Hopefully we will get something like this.. 🙏🙌. We are Cali as well. Good job guys 👏👏
