My brother is allergic to bee stings but in his search for info about flying, stinging insects he found that yellow is an attractant to bees and some wasps. I stopped wearing yellow t-shirts and polo shirts after finding that out.

I had a bad one on my shed. I did notice it until they attacked me. I ran so fast, and they even chased me like 20 yards. It was crazy. I returned that night and sprayed the next with wasp spray-game over for them. But now I watch for wasp nests when I go outside.

Such a rubbery material is probably pretty difficult for them to actually get their stinger in the right way to pop it. I'm sure they're getting stabbed quite a few times but only the right hits actually pop them.

How do you handle the suit after? I assume stingers are stuck on the outside? Does the material get worn down after awhile? Etc when do you decide its safe to remove the suit? Time or distance?

I don't think that the stingers get stuck on the suit because, if I'm not mistaken, wasps, hornets, and their cousins have smooth stingers and are capable of stinging multiple times. It's bees that have barbed stingers that get stuck and are ripped out of their body after stinging something.

Hey Shawn! I'm a big fan of yours and love your content, and I have noticed you mentioning that this season has had a noticeable increase of yellow jacket nests, especially above ground ones. I'm no entomologist, but I do know they thrive in the heat, and since we have had record-breaking high temperatures this summer, I think that is why! They also get more aggressive in the hotter weather, which is why I'm grateful that you're taking care of these problematic pests, and I'm sure your family members with allergies are really grateful too! Please keep doing what you're doing and always remember that you're awesome!

If you put a bunch of bloons outside with a vacuum at the entrance then you could capture a lot of the workers without having to really be there as popping bloons aggravate the wasps and the vacuum gets all of the returning/exiting workers
