TO ANYONE GETTING THE WRONG DDL API VERSION ERROR: What you have to do is install the 1.3.1 patch, then the game will ask you for a cd key, you'll go to the base folder, open the doomkey file as a note editor and change the cd key to B7BABBSB77AATT23, save changes and then open the game again, that should fix the problem, as it worked for me

I have a problem with fire effects. They look like balls with curved space. Some of the objects in them simply disappear. It seems that I installed everything correctly. Unless I did not install the patch 7.0.2 or whatever, since an error appeared in the console at startup. Who can help?

Hi I installed Perfected Doom 3 without much of a problem, only there is a shadow bug where half the character model's are shaded darker than the other. Is there a fix for that?

I have that too. Just don't go super hard with the graphic settings and it should be good. But I'd like to ask you something. I installed the mod too and it just won't stop crashing every few minutes. Have you had this problem? Got any idea how to fix it?

Resurrection of Evil no es un mod, es una expansión. Puedes comprarlo en Steam o GOG. :)

Ha pasado mucho tiempo desde que hice el video, pero 'creo' que puedes jugar Doom 3 (juego normal) con el mod Perfected sin requerir la resurrección de la expansión malvada. Sin embargo, si deseas jugar el mod con la campaña de Resurrection of Evil, creo que también necesitarás el juego principal (Doom 3).

I have applied the perfected doom 3 file into the steam doom 3 directory. I have also applied the 7.0.0.2 patch to the perfected doom 3 folder where the other patches are, but when i load doom 3 and go to mods section, it only says doom 3 and doom 3 roe. There is no option to click on the patch file. I'm using windows 10 and Nvidia gpu aorus 1080ti extreme. I took a look at the readme file which says to open this the batch file that applies to whatever gpu you are using. I tried to open the nvidia batch file and it says it couldn't find doom3.exe executable. Am I missing anything? The tutorial looked excellent and very easy to follow, which it is, however, it is not working for me and I have followed everything to the letter. What do you think could be the issue? I am sorry to hear that you're having a problem getting it to run. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I made the video that I don't think I can recall much at all. All I can suggest is to start a fresh installation, and if that still doesn't fix the issue, then you could try posting on the moddb mod page. Sorry, I can't be of more help.

Sorry, I wouldn't know where to begin with that one. All I can suggest is that you may have either installed the mod incorrectly or might have a confliction with another mod?

so i've done all of that (for the 3rd or 4th time already), but i played with just 7.0.0....now in 2020 for the first time i have 7.0.2 patch....now my question is, my in game mods showing perfected doom 7.0.0 and perfected roe 7.0.0, why not showing perfected 7.0.2? is 7.0.2 working? or i can just delete 7.0.2 files?

It's difficult to say as I don't think I've tried using the latest patch. I would have expected the game to show it running 7.0.0.2 so it's strange that you're not seeing it. I suppose you check out the patch changes and see if you can recognise anything different in the game.

Every time I do the g_fov 105 it switches but then as soon as I switch weapons it automatically reverts to 90 even when I changed the fov in the config. Any idea why you think that’s happening ?

Off the top of my head, I guess it could be something in the config file overwriting the FOV you're keying in, though I can't be sure at all. If you don't find a solution then perhaps consider asking on the mod page on moddb. You're welcome, of course, to ask here but I won't be able to provide much in the way of technical help.

So when I load my game the reflections are zoomed in, any fix on that?

I don't know an actual fix though you could try experimenting in the options with things like shadows/colour grading/HDR, etc. I can't remember exactly what video options there are but I've consistently found with Doom 3 mods that getting the right balance of graphics settings can make the difference between a playable game and an ugly/screwed up looking one.

No, not sure why that would be. I don't know if the version e.g. GOG, Steam, or retail affects the outcome significantly (I can't recall much about the installation process).

I don't think it works with the BFG Edition of Doom 3. g_fov is the command, I think. Enter that in the console and then try a figure e.g. g_fov 80 and see how you get on.

It does not work on the BFG edition since this rendition of the game doesn't support mods
