@synaptik Thank you , its not always a bunch of tangles , just another part of fishing with others. And I totally dig fishing Ponds, lakes and rivers as well. Actually fished the Willamette River in Oregon after work today and caught a grip of small mouth bass , little guys but still fun ..Thank you again for watching , and don't let the Kaos run you away from a tuna trip. Looks like a fun trip! cant wait for mine in June I suck sooo much at casting live baits, i just underhand cast. Do you think there is a real benefit to getting the bait out away from the boat by casting?

How is the boat? It looks amazing! Doesn’t look like a lot of tackle bag/box storage. Just got an email 2 hours ago stating my upcoming 1.5 on the Old Glory just got bumped to the Horizon. Old Glory took a dump! 😮. First trip of the year out of 5. Have two 1.5, two 2.5 and a 4.5 on the books.

@1HOTAHI , the boat is awesome , the tackle bag storage is like you said very small . But the rest of the boat is Killer. Large front deck for casting jigs , lots of room around the bait tanks . Lots of boat troughs . The bunks and state rooms are very large and do come with pillows and blankets. There are power outlets in the staterooms and randomly around the bunks. The galley is fairly large , simular to the Excalibur with the center buffet counter. We where charged $15 for all you could drink coffee , water and soda from a fountain . The cook put out fresh cut fruit throughout the day , we paid for breakfast and lunch , and they covered us on a killer pork loin dinner. Deck hands were super cool and helpful as The Malihini crew always has been . Bill came down often and fished , helped , guided as needed throughout the trip. Enjoy your trips , hope you Slay. Bruce in California Waters (10) Total and Mexican waters (5) . The Clifornia rule is - The fishery for yellowtail remains open year-round. The daily bag and possession limit is ten fish. The minimum size limit is 24 inches fork length , except that up to five fish less than 24 inches fork length may be taken or possessed. Thank you for watching ,

Sorry , Yes i do keep the fish i catch , Have the boats filet them for me. I take the filets home and Vaccum seal them in serving portions for later . Yellotail is my favorite Sashimi . Thank you for the support

No shame is using a spinning reel. Bird nest is not fun to deal with. And try to let the yellow chew a little longer before winding onto it, then give it some good yanks to set the J hook( ignore if using a circle hook). Land more fishies that way. But good job.
