Maybe it’s because of being in Canada and England, but growing up in the US, that battery cover clip is such a common thing that I was confused it took y’all any time to figure out how to fix that.

the same supply chains go to all 3 countries. they also use the same size batteries as we do! i think morley just hadnt thought much about the design of them, they're so ubiquitous but you normally never need to consider it.

You know how small lost parts have a tendency to re-emerge once you’ve got a replacement? Just print a replacement part, and you’ll not only find the original part, you also have a spare!

For the coin bank lid, it's called a "living hinge". They are unexpectedly complicated for something so ubiquitous.

If the coin lid fails down the track, reprint it sideways and it will probably be stronger due to the layer lines working with the flex not against it. I came from Matt's video.

4:42 I love how you showed us you messing up here. As someone who also uses fusion 360 for repairs, I can’t even begin to say how much I related to “bull dozing” over someone’s thought. Whenever you are excited to get on a project, you’d be surprised by how much your mind tunes out the information it needs.

I printed a gear that spin’s landing lights on a single engine plane! My dad works on them and explained that they’re meant to break if they get bound up so the actual motors don’t overheat and break. He was looking at $$$ for each of them because the planes aren’t made anymore so replacement parts are expensive.

What a fun idea. The coin cover could have been designed several different ways. A slide lock wedge could have worked. The typewriter was neat to see your design of the cover as the owner mentioned.

Hi Morley, I own a Creality 3D printer which I believe is an Ender brand. Having trouble with project sticking to the glass. After I seen this video I think a thin flexible polycarbonate sheet with texture would work attached to top of glass? I’ve seen one like you used as a cheap mouse pad I think? Your thoughts would be much appreciated

Would anyone know what type of print material would be good for using as a mold for epoxy product pouring? I’m thinking a consistency like that of silicone would be best as long as the epoxy can cure in the mold and be released from the mold preferably without mold release.

Why is it that Americans/Canadians always say “London, England”. You do realise that outside of the sporting world “England” isn’t a country(check the UN definition of a country and yo7 will see that as England doesn’t have its own parliament it’s technically not a country- the parliament in London is for the whole of the U.K. not specifically England whereas Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland all have their own separate individual parliaments) ? And most of us say we’re from the U.K. not England right?
@Taygetea
@Taygetea Жыл бұрын
there are a few things here i can think of. one, us americans are always trying to get the political and geographic divisions over there right and be really careful and might overcorrect. nobody wants to say ireland is part of the UK or refer to the UK as "great britain" and be laughed at. two, we're used to referring to "richmond virginia", "portland oregon", dallas texas" etc and so we're used to the flow of a second place name shaped like a word and not an acronym like US/UK. to my ears it sounds weird to say that for very large internationally known cities like los angeles ("los angeles california" sounds bizarre) but i definitely hear people do it even for really big cities. three, theres an interesting parallel where europeans say 'america' far more than they say 'the US' but for americans it's often the other way around.
