Another great review! Congrats on the new timepiece! Great choice with the new watch strap, the color matches the watch perfectly.

Will dona proper review after a few weeks. Out of the box the watch looks and feels amazing. Really lucky the strap matched as well as it did. Will follow up with it towards the end of the month.

I got mine a few days ago! It's really beautiful watch although mine is black. Yema nail it right big time!

Have you tried to fit the buckle from the tropic strap you won’t be using? I intend doing this when mine finally comes home 👍

I actually had done this the following day. Worked well 👍

You will love it! Each time I slide open my watch drawer to pick a watch each day this one stands out and makes me smile. It's just a timeless piece for anyone's collection

Wow, that looks really nice. I selected the same one but the smaller 39mm version. I have not received mine yet though. After seeing your video, I am really looking forward to it showing up. It has been so long, I already considered putting it on ebay right away. However, seeing yours makes me wanting to not do this :-) Yema watches having very long lugs. My wrists are just a little bit thicker than yours (7.3"). Makes me actually glad I chose the smaller watch. I think wrists any smaller than yours would be too small for the 41mm case. How well does it keep time?

You would have definitely regretted selling it. Funny you mention it, I am running it against a the Greenwich time as we speak. See how it does over 12 and 24 hours. Will be 12 hours around 10pm my time.

@@JoeinPNW how did it do on time, mine just came :)
@JoeinPNW3 жыл бұрын
@@garethm2009 +18 seconds in 24 hours sitting stationary. I will assume that improves with time and wear. Otherwise, it's easy to adjust.

Could you not simply switch the buckles, using tjhe bronze Yema on the blue/whatever?
@RassBrass Жыл бұрын
Did you pay duty tax for that? I like the black strap on it; the brown one goes well with the heritage green dial
@JoeinPNW Жыл бұрын
Yes. Yema uses DHL and although they are extremely fast to ship, they do hit you with tax over a certain dollar amount.

Ever consider using Yema's steel bracelet to use as an offset look ?

Thats funny. I actually was wearing this watch yesterday and had this same thought.

How would you handle getting a brand spanking new, limited edition Yema that is missing the initial A in AUTOMATIC? Would you hang on to it as it's now even rarer than 1 out of 1948 or would you return it to get it fixed? I got my black one this week and I'm not quite decided if, and when, to reach out to Yema
@JoeinPNW3 жыл бұрын
So, you received a UTOMATIC? personally, if it was me, I'd probably keep it as is. In the collectors world (coins. Stamps.etc) mess ups are the more sought after.
@KLINT_Com-Net3 жыл бұрын
@@JoeinPNW That was my initial thought as well but then I realized that maybe it had been there to start with, even though I can't see any trace of glue or such on the dial. But, if it had been there and now is inside the watch (date window opening) it might mess something up. On the fence 🤔
