A fine review with no waffle thanks. Worth mentioning that it is a limited edition of 1948. I only spotted this watch recently so am searching to purchase one.

Hello, I ordered their brandnew Steel Bronze Model with the new MBP 2000 Kaliber via Kickstarter. It arrived on December 16 th and runs perfect with 2 Seconds Plus per Day.

Howdy, I'm having trouble setting the time on this model, after unscrewing the crown it pops out to the wind position, pull it out another measure and the crown does nothing to the hands, not does it hack, I have no instructions with mine (mine is the all bronze, no date) is there something I'm doing wrong ?

Solid State I’ve found that it has 3 crown positions: Wind, date, and time set. The date position does “nothing” and you can hear a click like it’s advancing a date wheel. The fully out setting should be where you want to be to set the time. If it’s engaged correctly you should see the second hand stop “hack”. In short, try pulling it all the way out and if that doesn’t work you might need to send it to Yema (after the virus outbreak);)

@@qualitygearreviews6276 Thank you very much, it works now, I was wondering about whether it still had a date wheel inside with a non-functioning crown position, I did notice a latching sound going on in one position with nothing happening.

I think it is a modified ETA Movement,half Inhouse.

I believe you are correct. I didn’t understand that the in house claim was only partially true at the time!

I think the locking mechanism is a gimmick. A diver needs a rotating bezel to time decompression stops, not air reserves. That is done by pressure of the cylinder. Decompression stops are timed at certain depths on ascent so timing is conducted beneath the waterline and needs to be readily adjusted. The way this locks you need to unscrew the crown, which if done below the surface will flood the movement. I think this is a facepalm on an otherwise nice looking watch. I realise nobody in their right mind will use this as a diver. But how can this be marketed as one with such an obvious design flaw?

Good point. I actually talked about how I don’t use the bezel for everyday wear when I filmed but cut it out during the edit due to rambling 😉 A counter point however is that no other companies really have something similar so it does get noticed by others when I’m out and about.

@@qualitygearreviews6276 it is a hell of a nice looking watch. And quite desirable despite what I mentioned.

@@qualitygearreviews6276 Do you know if that lock is removable?
@qualitygearreviews62764 жыл бұрын
Not by the user. I imagine it might be possible by Yema but you’d need to remove the crown completely.
