Many patients suffering from HIV in Yemen are reluctant to go public and talk about the virus in one of the most conservative societies in the world.
Often they are crippled by a fear of repercussions, stigma and social rejection.
There are more than 3,000 officially registered cases, but the real figure is believed to be closer to 30,000.
Patients battle not just to get access to treatment, but also to gain acceptance in society.
Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports from Sanaa.
