What a fucking mess. Not you, the video is great. This entire war just seems like pointless carnage, lots of territory shifting for no real gain/loss, breakaway factions scoop up a big chunk of land only to cease existing in less then six months, and at some points you even see crazy stuff like in Sept 2022 where a Presidential Leadership council enclave is surrounded by an Al-Queda enclave which in turn is also surrounded almost totally by the Southern Transnational Council. This kind of map gore would naturally wreak mad havoc on supply lines to the various factions. Arms, ammo, food, clean water, etc would have trouble getting anywhere for anyside, the ultimate in logistical nightmares. Add onto it civilian populations would be dealing with the same problems, and the naval blockades and cyclones you mentioned in the opening. Fucking hell. You couldn't pay me to fight in this sort of hellhole. Seems like re-unifying Yemen was a bad idea long-term.

They're definitely winning. They control the most populated areas and as you said the capital. The strongest faction after them don't even want to control all of yemen, they want an independent south yemen. The only other two factions control a bunch of desert.
