Melike is housekeeper keeps her job by not putting her nose in their business and keeps taking all the shit they throw at her just to keep her job that’s the way it is if you housekeeper and don’t have education and know how for anything else. It’s a long suffering kind of job and she keeps quiet it’s not her place to speak. She only speak if she absolutely has to but she will first pray about it plenty of times. It’s not easy for it. She’s there to work not to ingratiate herself into their lives. She’s not even their friend. It’s hard life for Melike, Taji , Sefer and Sheriya . It’s like you are family but you are not family. Many people cannot do this job. You need thick skin. When they fire you they fire you without any consideration of your wellbeing or how many years of service. The boss can just say housekeeper jobs are a dime a dozen. It affect Melike psychologically and she need to pay her bills too. I feel sad for her. There’s no distinction between personal life and work life and the salary is not that much... people just to respect and and show kindness to domestic workers.
