It worked! At first I tried the start button+ volume up for 15s and nothing happened so I left it charging. After couple of minutes the charging icon appeared and it turned on "odin mode" which tells you to hold start button + volume down for 7s to restart. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Dude when we say that the phone doesn't charge we mean 0 watts input from the cable. Your phone is actually charging, it just doesn't show an indication on the screen.

🥰🥰🥰You have just become my hero. My Samsung Galaxy S20's screen turned black. I read all the advice on Google and watched all the videos I could on KZbin, but had no success. Your instruction was to press the button up. All the others instructed me to press it down. After a short period, the screen was back on, although so dark, I could barely see. I managed to get to the settings then: Display. I then adjusted the Brightness which was at the far left side. Then: MAGIC!!!!!!!!!! My phone was back on. Working normally. I thank you from the bottom of my heart and pray that you will be blessed for eternity.

If the brightness is all the way to the left it's not difficult to see the screen except when you're outside, I always keep it all the way to the left because it's easier on the eyes, except when I'm going outside.

But there was an issue the mobile showed three options after I pressed power and volume up. These options were in chinese. The first one was clear data 😨 and the second one was restart. Tried everything you said, still does not work. The circle popped up with the electric symbol and the screen is just black. Here's what I did for reference: - Charge for 30 mins, plugged out charger, held power button and volume up didn't work nothing showed up - Charge for 5 mins, hold power button and volume down nothing showed up I may have to replace it sadly.
